Next Step MembershipDecember 3rd, 6:30 pmIf you’ve been attending our church long enough to call it your home but you’re not a member, we encourage you to join us at pastor John LeVahn’s home. This is a two hour membership event where John will share the vision and mission of our church, over some coffee and dessert. In this relaxed home setting you can find out more about the Church’s history, and how you can become a member at Alexandria Covenant. Please sign up at the Covenant Church Welcome Center because seating is limited.

Adoption Support NetworkDecember 2nd, 6:30 pm, first Thursday each monthCome join the Douglas and Pope County adoptive parents support group. Support groups provide parents with a confidential, non-judgmental environment where they can: learn from each other; celebrate their successes; brainstorm solutions to problems and concerns; and receive information on resources & training opportunities. Free Food DropDecember 3rd, 11:30 amIf you’re hungry and you live in Douglas County, you’re welcome to participate in the annual food drop handout at New Life Christian Church. There are no personal income guidelines, just show up with your own food containers. The line starts to form in the parking lot around 9:30 am and food generally runs out around 1:00 pm. This event is sponsored by United Way. Location: 1910 Hwy 27 E, Alexandria, MN 56308.

60+ Young at Heart Christmas PartyDecember 2nd, 12:00 pmJoin us for a potluck lunch as we hear the Jefferson Carolerssing a few rounds of Christmas cheer. Prizes will be given away and we’ll join together to sing some Christmas carols ourselves!

Last names: A-H bring a dozen sandwichesI-P bring a salad or relishes

Q-Z bring sweet treats

(The next Young at Heart event is March 3rd so mark your calendar) Location: The Fellowship Center

“God With Us” Christmas ServiceDecember 12th, 9:00 am, 10:30 am, and 4:00 pmSee a child’s story come to life and hear real-life stories of people for whom God has shown up in large and small ways. You will be challenged to remember how God is with you each and every day. A Christmas breakfast will be served in the gym from 8:00-11:00 am, donations for the breakfast will go to the Lake Beauty Bible Camp Scholarship Fund.

Planet WisdomDecember 3rd, 4:00 pmPlanet Wisdom is a weekend trip for Jr. and Sr. High students at Grace Church in Eden Prairie. This year’s theme is “A God You Can Know”.

You can sign-up in the church office with a non-refundable check. The cost is $68 for the first 10 registrations, $80 thereafter. (You will need money for three other meals).

Bell Ringers NeededNovember 22nd-December 24th We need bell ringers for the Salvation Army kettles,

beginning November 22nd through December 24th at various locations in the Alexandria area, both inside and outside. Funds are dispersed to families to help in times of greatest need.

Shifts are two hours long. If interested in volunteering please call Kathy Burkholder 320-762-0161.

Christmas CapDecember 17th, 7:00 pm

erJunior Highers, get ready to solve a Christmas mystery together. The details of the mystery will be reserved for the actual event, but you will drive around to different places in Alexandria to witness a couple different crime scenes. You and your team need to figure out what happened, who did it, and why it happened. Prizes for the winning team! Meet in the Church parking lot at 7:00 pm. (High Schoolers, we need you to volunteer to be actors in the crime scenes.)If interested contact Ruth Gess from Catalyst Covenant Church at [email protected] or 320-763-3550.

Celebrate Recovery Mondays, 6:30 pmFind freedom from relationship struggles, addictive and compulsive behaviors, hurts, and more. Celebrate Recovery regularly meets Monday nights at 6:30 pm, and every first Monday of the month for supper at 6:00 pm. Newcomers welcome! Dresser NeededThe dresser ministry is in need of a new dresser. If you can fulfill this need please contact Darlene Steiger at 320-762-1132.

The dresser ministry exists to serve those who are expecting a little one on the way. You can partner with the Dresser Ministry by donating a number of items, which are listed on the dresser located near the mailboxes in the Commons Area.

The dresser ministry exists to serve those who are expecting a little one on the way. You can partner with the Dresser Ministry by donating a number of items, which are listed on the dresser located near the mailboxes in the Commons Area.
