    Matrimony: Couples contemplating marriage in the

    Job Opening: Parish Secretary

    Our Lady Help of Christians Parish is looking for a Parish Secretary. It is a part-time job. The person is

    responsible for the daily operation of the parish office; maintaining sacramental registries; ordering and

    maintaining records of office supplies, religious supplies and materials; communicating with diocesan

    offices, vendors and parishioners; maintaining or monitoring filing system; data entry: e.g., Diocesan

    Annual Appeal, parish census, statistics, collections; preparing parish bulletin(s).

    The person should possess an overall knowledge of general office procedures, familiarity with office

    equipment and excellent grammatical skills. The person should be proficient in Microsoft applications,

    mostly Word, Outlook and Excel.

    Trustworthiness, reliability, willingness to maintain confidentiality and the ability to complete routine

    and delegated assignments in a timely manner are essential.

    All employees of the parish are required to complete Pennsylvania State Police criminal background

    checks, PA Department of Human services child abuse history check, as well as a three-hour child abuse

    reporting online training program.

    Gloves Gloves are not to be worn during the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy. Gloves should not be used

    either at the distribution or reception of Holy Communion

    Confessions Saturday: 3:00pm-3:45pm

    Face to face only and putting on face masks. Will now be heard immediately inside the back entrance

    of the Religious Education building.

    Masses Saturdays: 4:00pm

    Sundays: 8:00am *The Church will be opened 30 minutes prior to start.

    Hymns

    There will only be: The Entrance Hymn, The Responsorial Psalm, and The Sending Forth Hymn. All

    the other parts of the Mass will be recited.

    Parishioners may take a copy of the Breaking Bread Hymnal. If you do so, remember to take it home

    with you and bring it each time you come for Mass. Any copy left in the Church will be taken and

    thrown out.

    Collections No taking up of collections. Please place your envelope in the collection basket toward the front of

    the Church before/after the Mass.

    Holy Communion During the Mass. Please keep six feet apart as you come up to receive Holy Communion.

    PCCW News and Upcoming Events

    Rosary: Every Thursday Evening at 6:30pm in Our Lady’s Church:

    This week’s collective intention: November 26th: Rosary at OL 6:30pm. Intentions for a spirit of true forgiveness

    in our homes, our neighborhoods, workplaces and the whole world. For all the families driven from their homes

    by poverty, natural disasters and war.

    Christmas Raffle: The PCCW is selling Christmas Raffle Tickets that contain prizes totaling $1,000. The cost is $5.00 per ticket.

    The drawing will take place on Sunday, December 6, 2020, immediately following the 8a.m. Mass in the

    parish’s social hall. Winners will be contracted right after the drawing. If you would like more tickets to

    purchase or sell, please contact any council member, John Perseponko at (717) 614-7777 or stop by the parish

    office. *If purchasing tickets by check, please make check payable to “OLHC PCCW”. Tickets and

    money/check must be received by Friday, 12/04/2020.

    Lottery Raffle:

    The PCCW will be selling lottery raffle tickets for the month of January 2021. The winning numbers will be

    based on the Evening Drawing of the Lottery Pick 3. The number on your ticket must match the Pick 3 number

    that was drawn on a specific day in January. The winning prizes are $30.00 on weekdays, $75.00 on Saturdays

    and $100.00 on Sundays and on New Year’s Day. Ticket donation is $5.00 each. Tickets will be sold through the

    end of December 2020. If paying by check, please make checks payable to “OLHC PCCW”. Winners will

    receive a check through the mail. Tickets can be purchased by contacting any council member or the parish

    office.
