Ms Agnes Choi, Chairman of the PEC, welcomed the organisers to the Get-Together and thanked them all for their valuable support for the HKMW

To show appreciation to the organisers for their support in staging various exciting activities in HKMW 2018, the “HKMW Get-Together” was held on 15 October and well- attended by the organisers. At the gathering, the organisers provided a brief highlight of their respective activities by eight groups, according to the theme of the activities, i.e. ship finance, maritime law and arbitration, marine insurance, ship management, maritime technology, port and logistics, shipping and maritime, and education and career.

Captain Gautam Ramaswamy, Director (Regulatory Affairs) of Hong Kong Shipowners Association, and Mr Richard Wesley, Museum Director of Hong Kong Maritime Museum, co-organisers of HKMW, spoke to the organisers.

Ms Agnes Choi, Chairman of the Promotion and External Relations Committee (PEC) of the HKMPB, thanked all organisers for their continued support, particularly the co-organisers Hong Kong Shipowners Association and Hong Kong Maritime Museum, and the partners Hong Kong Trade Development Council and InvestHK. Ms Choi pointed out that apart from the collaboration between the Government and the industry through the HKMPB in taking forward various measures and initiatives to support further development of the maritime industry, the HKMW maritime week has been playing a very important role to promote the industry to the local and international maritime communities, as well as the general public.”

She extended her heartfelt appreciation to all organisers and partners, saying “it is only with your contribution that we can be sure the upcoming Maritime Week will be as vibrant and successful as ever.” The organisers were looking forward to the start of the Week on 18 Nov!
