EAST DISTRICT RALLY REPORT The October East District Rally was held on October 21 at Little Paint First Church of God. We were blessed with a great service as churches from all across the area came together to worship the Lord. There were 13 different congregations represented. The gospel group, “EVENTIDE, provided the special singing in the pre-service and two specials during the worship service. Caeden Molihan led worship and was accompanied on the piano by Brandon Pelfrey. They both are from Stan-ton FCOG. Host Pastor Jeff White welcomed those in attendance and voiced the opening prayer. The guest speaker was Pastor Ben Liston from Stanton, Ky. Pastor Ben shared a wonderful message entitled, “Somebody Has To Come Down Off The Mountain” The offertory prayer was given by Pastor Kathy Cantrell from Lick Creek FCOG. The offertory song was sung by Pauline Kesler from Owingsville FCOG. The offering received will go towards expenses for this ministry. We would like to thank Pastor Jeff and Dianne, as well as, the Little Paint FCOG Congregation for hosting the Rally and for the delicious food they pro-vided for our time of fellowship. The Ky. East District Church of God Christmas Banquet will be Saturday De-cember 1, 2018 at the Natural Bridge Lodge, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Bro. Jeff East District

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, November is upon us, and in America there are a couple of days that we take time to REMEMBER, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving Day. If you’re like most, we need to work on REMEMBERING. This truth is represented in the following story:

‘There were three golfers named Bill, Tom, and Fred. They used to be a group of four along with Harry, and they often played golf together over the last 12 years, but sadly, Harry had died. It wasn’t only Harry’s company that they missed, but they missed the fact that he was the only one who could see well enough to follow where their ball when after they hit it. So they went to the club pro, and said, “We need a fourth and the only require-ment is that he be able to see, because none of us can see well enough to fol-low our tee shots.” So he gave them George, assuring them that George had great eyesight for a man of his age. So they all hit their tee shots and turned to George asking if he had seen where the ball went, “Sure did” he replied in each case. And so, they jumped in their carts and drove to where Bill usually hit his ball. Bill stopped the cart and asked George, “Where’s my ball?” To which George replied… “I can’t remember.” This month, among the business of life. Take time to REMEMBER those who serve so that we can be free. And always take time to REMEMBER to give thanks for all that God provides.
