Classes And MoreClasses And MoreClasses And More Card Making Class Come join us in making 3 different greeting cards using a variety of rubber stamps, ink, punches and cardstock, that you can share with your family or friends. This month we’ll be making one Thanksgiving card and two Christmas cards. There are two different classes you can sign up for; Thursday, November 14 at 11:00a or Tuesday, November 19 at 2:00p. We’ll be making the same cards for both classes and all supplies are furnished. You must register and pay the class fee of $6 by either Friday, November 8 for the Thursday class or Friday, November 15 for the Tuesday class. If you cancel after the November 11 or 15 registration or don’t show up, your class fee will not be refunded. The class is limited to 12 participants. Painting With Deb For November’s project paint a Christmas ornament. The timing of the class, Monday, November 18 at 6:00p gives everyone plenty of time to create an ornament and have it ready to present for the holiday season. Ornamental bulbs make great Christmas gifts. All supplies are provided. The cost is $10 due at the office by Friday, November 15. Hand Bell Choir Don’t forget Hand Bell Practice at Olivedale every Wednesday at 9:00a. Please contact Becky at 740-653-6089 with questions.

Ballroom Dance ~ The Waltz Did you know that dancing is terrific exercise; it’s fun and something most people can easily do! Besides giving a great cardio boost, dance strengthens bones, works all the major muscle groups, builds stamina and improves balance, coordination and flexibility. Also learning new steps and dancing with a partner banishes loneliness and ramps up brain power by combining two other key elements of brain health: learning new things and socializing. So join us every Friday in November as our instructor, Stan Campbell (whose credentials hail from the dance studios of New York City) teaches a truly elegant and ageless dance; The Waltz. Under the guidance of Stan, you will not only learn the proper steps but also the correct posturing and presence for this classic dance. Class begins at 1:00 pm every Friday, no partner required and only $5 per lesson, payable at the office before class. Basket Class Are you looking for a lovely basket to hold all those Christmas cards you receive? Join us on Monday, November 4 as we make a small market basket that will work perfectly for holding cards, mail or many other items. The basket is 6" x 12" and you have a color choice for a decorative band of green, navy or red. The class begins at 9:00a and the cost is $30 due on class day, please register for the class by Friday, November 1. Call in advance if you need to cancel so you will not be charged for the prepared material. Class is limited to 16 students.

Olivedale Bus Fundraiser The Wellness Center would like to add to the contributions being donated for the purpose of obtaining a brand new bus for Olivedale activities. Since all Wellness Center participants are Olivedale members, we thought it would be a wonderful gesture to purchase an item needed by the bus such as: a tire? A window? Everything helps! Stop by the Wellness desk or the front desk if interested. Thank you! Kudos, Ryan Clark Olivedale maintenance man, Ryan Clark was recently

re-certified by the National Swimming Pool Foundation as a Certified Pool/Spa Operator after a near perfect score on the course examination. A congratulatory letter was sent to the Lancaster Parks Department stating that Ryan’s score ranked in the top ½ percent of all course participants nationwide. This is a clear indication that the health and safety of our members is in very capable hands. If you see Ryan in the halls of Olivedale, be sure to congratulate him on his success!
