Monday November 12, 2012 10:30am in DV2080 Prandium Seminar On Wednesday November 14, 2012 join us for lunch and an exciting presentation by graduate speaker Rami Tanous. The seminar is titled “Dominion and Creed: Reinterpreting the Conversion of Mesopotamian Christians to Islam in the MidEighth Century” The seminar will take place in the North Building, Room 143 from 11 to 1 pm. Discover Your Potential” Volunteer Opportunity Are you interested in volunteering for a non-profit organization and gaining leadership experience at UTM? “Education. Discover Your Potential” (EDYP) is a non- profit organization that provides free tutoring, mentorship, scholarships and academic support services to high school students from lower income families who wish to pursue postsecondary education. EDYP operates through the U of T Mississauga, U of T St. George, U of T Scarborough and York University. If you are an enthusiastic and motivated individual that is interested in gaining experience in teaching, accounting, advertising, fundraising or managing, EDYP is for you! To learn more about EDYP, please visit www.edyp.ca or contact them at [email protected]. UTMSU Food Bank UTMSU holds an on campus Food service for all UTM students who struggle for food security. “The Student Union offers a free Food Bank service for all UTM students. Students can make an order online, and choose from a variety of food items listed on the website (www.utmsu.ca/foodbank), and choose their preferred method of pick up to ensure confidentiality and comfort. Or they could drop by the office in room 242 to order and pick up on the spot” The Food Bank will be starting a Breakfast Club where they will be selling bagels, waffles etc. for than a dollar. This will go on EVERY WEEK on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00-12:00pm in the Student Centre starting October 30.” UTMSU will have a donation box set up in the student center, please donate generously as you could be saving a student’ s future. Thank You! Thank you to everyone who came out to our Student-Faculty Luncheon. It was a great success and we enjoyed meeting you all. Best of luck on your final exams and essays!
