Summer 1998 Electrical Engineer Trainee Consolidated Contractors Company Managing Office P.O. Box 61092 Amaroussion 15110, Athens, Greece From its beginnings in 1952, the Consolidated Contractors Company or CCC has become the largest engineering and construction company in the Middle East. Today CCC embraces the ambitions and welfare of over 140,000 employees composed of over sixty nationalities. The construction activities of CCC extend over most of the Middle East. The training was in a GOSP (Gas-Oil Separation Plant) at the Shaybah Producing Facilities in the desert of Rub’ Al Khali, KSA. The training period was divided into two parts electrical and instrumentation after an introduction to the specifications and documents of the project, and a course in work safety. The electrical training covered work at a substation, transformers and generators. And the instrumentation training covered all types of sensor and control equipment on site, as well as quality check and control.
