2014 has seen fantastic results for Novahomes within the suburbs of Plympton and Plymstock and selling figures have been smashed from April showing an increase in buyer numbers looking to move to the area normally for the fantastic schools on offer. We have seen a slowdown in home owners putting their properties onto the market over the past month fearing that it may be the wrong time of year to sell with Christmas; however with buyer numbers still remaining high there has never been a better time to

put your property onto the market. With less competition from other home owners you are more likely to achieve a successful sale. We have seen many clients come back to us this year to use our services again which provides us with great satisfaction, showing we must be offering good levels of service for a very honest fee. Novahomes Plympton and Plymstock would like to thank all our clients and wish everyone Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year!

Firstly I would like to thank all of our clients who have instructed Novahomes Plymouth West to sell their homes in 2014. As a result of their continued support and trust, we have had a very successful 2014 and hope to have an even better 2015. We try our very best day in and day out to give our customers a great level of service, and with the high number of referrals we receive I would like to believe we have achieved this. 2014 has been a very positive year with an

increase in buyer activity and improving house prices. However although the number of transactions has reduced recently there are still many serious buyers looking for their ideal home and we predict a fast start in January. Pricing your property correctly prior to it going onto the market coupled with a strong marketing strategy and honest advice from a local specialist agent is essential to achieve a sale in the current market.

Selling your home in the Plymouth area, especially in PL6 where I specialise has always been a sure thing if the property is presented and priced to suit the market. Many sellers ask about good times and bad times to sell, and often this is a self fulfilling prophecy as fewer sellers inevitability lead to fewer buyers and fewer sales! If you’re looking to move then my advice is to strike whilst the will, rather than the season is there.

I expect a fantastic start to 2015 with the interest rate worries now calming, and the pent up demand that a slower number of sellers has provided in the latter half of 2014. Getting honest, and professional advice from local, experienced agents is still something I feel can be the difference between selling for the best price and not. I thank my customers for all of their support in the last year and cannot wait for 2015!

Despite the “ups” and “downs” we have seen in this year’s property market (I’m glad to advise there has definitely been more “ups”), I am delighted to be able to say that 2014 has been yet another incredible year for Novahomes in the Plymouth Region. Alongside the success we have continued to see in Plymouth and it’s locality, we further increased our regional coverage into new areas such as Saltash, Callington and Kingsbridge at the beginning of the year and have seen some excellent results. Any success, of course, is very much reliant on the support and recommendations offered by all past, present and future clients, to whom I would like to extend my gratitude and offer my warmest thoughts for the Christmas period.
