There is an overabundance of mate- rial when you consider Hurricane Sandy, Veteran’s Day, politics, holidays and so much more. I think about all this and it seems overwhelming. How, I wonder, can I speak a word of hope into the lives of hurried and harried people facing hu- mongous challenges? As all this is swirling in my mind, I open the medicine cabinet and catch a glimpse of the yellow post-it that has been there since February — “You are loved!” it says. It is a simple, wonderful message left there by my hus- band. He left similar little messages all around the house on our anniversary. I feel my whole being react as I read that note. My breathing is deeper, my shoul- ders straighten and my countenance brightens. Those are powerful little words. Look around: God has left little reminders all around our world. You are special, you are a treasure, we have each other, lean on me and ultimately — You are loved! “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one-and-only Son into the world that we might live through him. In addi- tion to serving her church and city, she worked in the Eastern Star where she was a past matron. She also was a past presi- dent of the Atwood Music and Drama Club. She be- longed to the American Le- gion Auxiliary and Atwood Women’s Club and served as secretary of the Atwood Chamber of Commerce for several years.
