The first games will begin at 1 p.m., followed by more at 4 p.m. with the championship finals set to begin at 6:30 p.m. There will be five teams comprised of exceptional senior volleyball players from the area who were nominated by their coaches. “I appreciate my coaches and Lady Buff teammates who believed in me the past three years and made vol- leyball a sport I love,” Sher- iff said. “I will miss playing with you, but believe me, I’m going to continue being a huge supporter of Lady Buff volleyball.” She also said she hopes a lot of volleyball enthusiasts will come to watch the all- star games and cheer for her team. Sheriff is the daughter of Karl and Jolene Sing- hateh. Kansas State won again last Saturday, beating a pretty good Oklahoma State team 44-30 and improving to 9-0. The Cats forced five turnovers in the game as their defense rose to the oc- casion again. KSU did have an injury to their ace quarterback, Collin Klein. He had completed 16 of 22 passes for 245 yards and rushed for 64 yards before going down in the third quarter. As of Monday, fans were still awaiting word on his in- jury status. On game day when he went down, the injury was unspecified. Klein was, once again, very solid in his play before the injury. He was replaced by backup quarterback Daniel Sams. Fans are still waiting to know if Klein will be able to play this week against Texas Christian, another tough foe. Everyone is on pins and needles as they wait to find out more. Klein is tough and if there is a way he can play, he will; but if not, the team is very capable of going on to their tenth victory. Let’s go on to the picks of this week.
