Dear fellow Versailles Breakfast Club member, I am making this posting to inform you of a great initiative which I am supporting called Nourish The Children (NTC). NTC is an innovative social initiative that was launched in 2002 by Nu Skin Enterprises (NSE), a publicly-traded company with 25 years of experience in direct marketing. Nourish the Children applies the rigor of successful business practices to addressing the problem of hunger in a sustainable manner. Lee Iacocca, former CEO of Chrysler Corporation and Emeritus Chairman of the Nourish the Children Advisory Board, says he is "confident that Nourish the Children will make a difference in children's lives all over the world. In fact, it already has. This truly is a new approach to solving the terrible crisis of world hunger." The Nourish the Children initiative is Nu Skin’s solution to provide a consistent and growing supply of nourishing food to the world’s most needy children. This simple concept succeeds by selling a highly nutritious food—VitaMeal®—and then helping people donate their purchases to third-party nonprofit organizations that specialize in distributing food to those suffering from malnutrition and famine. The primary charity partner for Nourish the Children is Feed The Children, one of the largest international charities in the United States, which specializes in distributing millions of pounds of food each year to families in more than 60 countries. The charity partner distributes the donated VitaMeal at NO ADDITIONAL COST. Larry Jones, the founder of Feed the Children, describes the Nourish The Children partnership as a "match made in heaven".

By DONATING PRODUCT RATHER THAN CASH, donors know exactly how their contribution is being used and can be assured that their donation is making a difference in the lives of children.

In the first five years after the inception of the Nourish The Children, an amazing milestone of having purchased and donated 100 million meals. It is expected that we can donate the next 100 million meals in just 3 years, by 2010.

How can you help? With your contribution of $22, you can donate a five-pound bag of Vitameal which is enough to provide 30 nutritious meals for a needy child. If you are willing to make a monthly donation, your commitment will be rewarded by a matching donation from Nu Skin of an additional bag of Vitameal for every 8 bags you donate. If you are willing to donate the 5 Vitameal package, Nu Skin will donate an additional bag of Vitameal.
