ARCHITECTURAL – Drawings

1. Sheet D2.2 – Basement Plan Demolition & Existing Structure – Contractor is responsible for removing existing concrete equipment pads, sewage ejector and other uneven floor items as required for level floor finish installation.

2. Sheet A1.2 – Detail F - Exterior Stair Section: Contractor shall sand blast exposed concrete foundation wall and remove all existing waterproofing down to a smooth and consistent finish.

3. Sheet A2.2 – Basement Floor Plan: Add 60-minute rated door 010, Type D, S.C, wood door w/view lights. Provide fire rated glazing for full 60-minute door assembly. Door shall be provided with removable mullion, rim panic device, and lever pulls per hardware allowance. All surrounding walls shall be 1 hour rated, extended to concrete deck above. Provide Magnetic Hold-Open devices per electrical. Reference attached revised Sheet A2.2.

4. Sheet A2.3 – First Floor Finish Plan: Stairs 128 to receive Ceramic Tile CT3 floor finish. Reference Specification 09306 Floor and Wall Tile.

5. Sheets A2.3 and A2.4 Floor Finish Plans: Clarification: Contractor is responsible for all floor leveling. Please note that there are several areas of greater than normal unevenness. Contractor is responsible for grinding/floating as required for a level, professional and aesthetic finished appearance.

5. Sheet A2.4 – Basement Finish Plan: Stairs 001 to receive Ceramic Tile CT3 floor finish. Reference Specifications. 6. Sheets A3.1 and 3.2 – Building Elevations: Clarification. The existing painted concrete window head, CMU/precast

wall, and precast sills shall have all paint removed and the wall prepped for opaque masonry stain by Nawkaw. 7. Sheets A3.1 and A3.2 – Building Elevations: Clarification, the vertical bands in the existing brick walls to remain,

are to be set into the existing brick. Contractor shall make vertical cuts in the existing brick for placement of the vertical brick accents.

8. Sheets A4.1, A4.2 – Delete all reference to Zip System sheathing. Exterior sheathing shall be Dens-Glass, or where indicated on structural drawings, fire retardant treated plywood. Brick installation shall include appropriate sheathing, vapor barrier, insulation, and masonry anchors at 16 “ o.c.

9. Sheet A5.1 – Roof Plan: At the south entry canopy, the roof of the canopy shall be TPO over HD cover board over 1” insulation. Roof membrane shall be fully flashed thru wall at EIFS and masonry walls.

10. Sheet A6.1 Interior Stair First Floor Plan – Clarification - At Elevator control panel (approx. 2 feet between edge of masonry and elevator door jamb), wall construction is to include 5/8” type ‘X’ G.B. over 1” Shaft Liner panel and appropriate studs. Elevator hoistway, doors, and all components shall be constructed for 2-hour assembly of all components.

11. Sheet A10.1 – Interior Finish Schedule: a. Vestibule 101 shall have a 2x2 lay-in Type 1 ceiling. Reference First Floor Reflected Ceiling Plan on Sheet

A7.1. b. Stairs 128/001 to receive Ceramic Tile (CT3) finished with Schluter Nosing. Reference Specifications. c. Vestibule 101, Lobby 102 and Hall 121 are to receive a 4” wood base finish.

12. Sheet A10.1 – Door Schedule: a. Add Door 010 – PR 3’-0” x 7’-0” Doors, Hollow Metal Doors with Hollow Metal Frame. 90-minute rated

with view lights, on magnetic hold open device. Reference attached revised sheet A10.1. b. Door 014 – Shall be Type A – Full Glass with special etching as described per Specifications Section

08800 – Glazing, paragraph 2.03.D. 13. Sheet A10.2 – Details AA, BB and CC – No Zip System sheathing is to be used on this project. Exterior Sheathing

shall be Dens-glass or fire-retardant treated plywood. 14. Sheet L1 Landscape Plan: Landscape contractor shall include in the landscape bid all labor and material for the

installation of a complete, fully automatic irrigation system. System shall include, but not be limited to programmable multi-zone, multi-function controller, all associated piping, commercial grade sprinkler heads, and all associated devices, valves, etc., for a fully operational irrigation system. Sprinkler heads shall be directional type to avoid any spray onto sidewalks, drives, equipment, or the building. Sprinkler system shall provide complete coverage of all landscape planting area and turf areas around the building and extending to the curb line at the east and south.

STRUCTURAL – Drawings 1. Sheet S1.2 – North Addition Foundation and Framing Plans – Reference the attached revised Sheet S1.2. 2. MECHANICAL

Clarification to M2.3-4 – Condensate piping shall be copper or PVC. However, PVC is not an acceptable piping material in

return air plenum. The use of CPVC is not allowed.

A. PROVIDE A COMPLETE TURNKEY TELECOMMUNICATIONS CABLING SYSTEM TO INCLUDE OUTLETS, JACKS,CONNECTORS, HORIZONTAL COPPER CABLING, PATCH PANELS, TERMINATIONS, LABELING, TESTING ANDCERTIFICATION. OWNER WILL PROVIDE ALL FIBER OPTIC CABLING AND TERMINATIONS, PATCH CABLES, ACTIVEELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AND TELECOM RACKS IN I.T. HEAD END (MDF) ROOM.

B. PROVIDE NYLON BUSHINGS FOR ALL CONDUIT ENDS NOT CONNECTED TO A BOX OR FITTING TO PROTECT CABLINGFROM DAMAGE.

C. REFER TO 1:E6.2 FOR TELECOM OUTLET REQUIREMENTS.

D. PATCH PANELS SHALL BE 48-PORT, CATEGORY 6, 19" WIDE OCCUPYING 2 RACK UNITS OF SPACE, WITH REAR IDCCONNECTIONS AND FRONT 8P8C JACKS, UNIVERSAL T568A/B WIRING, HUBBELL #HP648. COORDINATE WITHOWNER FOR MOUNTING LOCATION OF PATCH PANELS IN OWNER FURNISHED RACK. PROVIDE SEPARATE PATCHPANELS FOR NORMAL NETWORK, MEDICAL NETWORK, AND VOIP NETWORK CABLING IN QUANTITIES AS REQUIREDTO TERMINATE ALL CABLING.

E. PROVIDE FIELD INSTALLED LABELS COMPLYING WITH TIA/EIA-606 USING ENCODED IDENTIFIERS. PROVIDE LABELINGFOR EACH OUTLET JACK AT ITS FACE PLATE USING A UNIQUE NUMERICAL IDENTIFIER, AND LABEL CORRESPONDINGJACKS AT PATCH PANELS. LABEL EACH CAT6 CABLE AT BOTH ENDS.

F. PERFORM TESTING FOR ALL CATEGORY 6 COPPER CABLING AND ASSOCIATED CONNECTORS. PERFORM TESTS FORWIRE MAP, LENGTH, ATTENUATION, NEXT, AND PROPAGATION DELAY. PROVIDE CERTIFICATION OF CABLINGSYSTEM TO OWNER UPON COMPLETION OF SUCCESSFUL TESTING.

GENERAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS NOTES

A. FIRE ALARM CABLING SHALL BE INSTALLED IN CONDUIT.

B. DUCT TYPE SMOKE DETECTORS SHALL BE FURNISHED AND WIRED BY FIRE ALARM CONTRACTOR, INSTALLED INDUCT BY MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR.

C. FIRE ALARM SYSTEM HVAC SHUT DOWN RELAYS SHALL BE PROVIDED AND WIRED TO FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANELBY FIRE ALARM CONTRACTOR. LOCATE RELAYS WITHIN 5' OF HVAC EQUIPMENT AND PROVIDE CONDUIT WITHPULL STRING FROM RELAY TO EQUIPMENT. UNIT SHUT DOWN CONTROL WIRING SHALL BE PROVIDED BYMECHANICAL CONTRACTOR.

D. IN ADDITION TO VALVES INSTALLED ON FIRE SPRINKER SYSTEM RISER, ALL VALVES INSTALLED OUTSIDE THEBUILDING (POST INDICATOR VALVE, TAPPING SLEEVE VALVE, ETC.) SHALL BE SUPERVISED BY THE FIRE ALARMSYSTEM. PROVIDE ADDRESSABLE MONITORING MODULE AND SURGE PROTECTION DEVICE (DITEK #DTK-2MHLP48B)FOR EACH MONITORED VALVE. COORDINATE WITH GC AND SITE WORK CONTACTOR FOR ALL VALVES INSTALLED.MONITORING IS NOT REQUIRED FOR VALVES INSTALLED IN ROADWAY BOXES BY THE MUNICIPALITY/PUBLICUTILITY.

GENERAL FIRE ALARM NOTES

1. REFER TO SHEETS E2.3 AND E2.4 FOR INFORMATION ON COMBINATION POWER/DATA FLOOR BOXES.

2. PROVIDE ALL REQUIRED FIRE ALARM ADDRESSABLE MONITORING MODULES AND CONNECTIONS TO ALL FIRESPRINKLER FLOW AND TAMPER SWITCHES. COORDINATE REQUIREMENTS WITH FIRE SPRINKLER CONTRACTOR.

3. COVER WALL WITH 4'x8'x3/4" ACX FIRE RETARDANT PLYWOOD SHEETS INSTALLED VERTICALLY WITH BOTTOM AT6" AFF. PLYWOOD SHALL BE PERMANENTLY FASTENED TO THE WALL BY MEANS OF WALL ANCHORS UTILIZINGGALVANIZED, ZINC PLATED, OR STAINLESS STEEL HARDWARE WITH A FLAT HEAD. FINISHED INSTALLATION SHALLHAVE FLUSH APPEARANCE WITH COUNTERSUNK SCREW HEADS TO PREVENT SPLITTING OF THE PLYWOOD.DRYWALL SCREWS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. PAINT WITH TWO COATS OF LIGHT GRAY FIRE RETARDANT SEALERPRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF ANY EQUIPMENT.

4. J-HOOKS FOR TELECOM CABLING INSTALLED ABOVE SUSPENDED CEILING, SPACED AT MAXIMUM 5'-0" ON CENTER.J-HOOKS SHALL HAVE 4" MIN BUNDLE CAPACITY, 1" BEND RADIUS CONTROL, AND SHALL BE U.L. 2043 LISTED.PANDUIT "J-PRO JP4 SERIES" OR EQUAL. PROVIDE ALL FASTENERS AND ACCESSORIES AS REQUIRED FOR ACOMPLETE INSTALLATION.

5. EMT CONDUIT SLEEVE(S) THROUGH WALL WITH NYLON BUSHINGS FOR OWNER PROVIDED TELECOM CABLING.QUANTITY AND TRADE SIZE AS NOTED. INSTALL ABOVE ACCESSIBLE CEILING.

6. PROVIDE 1-1/4" CONDUIT BELOW SLAB TO FLOOR BOXES AS SHOWN FOR FUTURE OWNER PROVIDED TELECOMCABLING. ROUTE UP WALL AND STUB-UP TO ABOVE ACCESSIBLE CEILING. PROVIDE PULL STRING IN RACEWAY.COORDINATE ALL SAW CUTTING AND PATCHING WITH GC.

7. VERIFY EXACT MOUNTING LOCATION OF REMOTE PAGING STATION WITH OWNER PRIOR TO ROUGH-IN.

8. TELECOM COMPARTMENT IN BOX SHALL BE FOR FUTURE USE BY OWNER. NO CABLING OR JACKS INSTALLED ASPART OF THIS CONTRACT.

9. VERIFY EXACT MOUNTING HEIGHT AND LOCATION OF VOIP PHONE OUTLET WITH ELEVATOR EQUIPMENTINSTALLER PRIOR TO ROUGH-IN.

10. PROVIDE 2" CONDUIT SLEEVE IN WALL, ROUTED FROM BELOW FLOOR AND STUBBED OUT TO ABOVE ACCESSIBLECEILING.

11. REFER TO DETAIL 4, SHEET E6.1, FOR TELECOM CABLING AND JACK REQUIREMENTS AT THIS FLOOR BOX.

12. TELECOMMUNICATIONS GROUND BAR: 13-1/4"W x 2"H x 1/4" THICK ELECTRO-TIN PLATED COPPER BUS BAR,COMPLETE WITH INSULATED STAND-OFFS AND STAINLESS STEEL BRACKETS, ERICO #TGBA14L06PT OR EQUAL.MOUNT AT 18" AFF AND PROVIDE #4 CU GROUND TO BUILDING STEEL AND TO EQUIPMENT GROUND BUS OFPANEL 'MDP'. ALL CONNECTIONS TO GROUND BAR SHALL BE MADE USING COMPRESSION TYPE LUGS.

13. WIRELESS ACCESS POINT: PROVIDE (2) CAT6 CABLES ABOVE CEILING WITH MALE RJ45 END AND 20' SERVICE LOOP.DO NOT PROVIDE RACEWAY OR OUTLET BOX. ROUTE CABLE BACK TO I.T. ROOM 122, PROVIDE 6' SERVICE LOOPAND TERMINATE AT PATCH PANEL.

14. IP CAMERA: PROVIDE (1) CAT6 CABLE ABOVE CEILING WITH MALE RJ45 END AND 20' SERVICE LOOP (BLUE FORNORMAL NETWORK, BLACK FOR MEDICAL NETWORK). DO NOT PROVIDE RACEWAY OR OUTLET BOX. ROUTE CABLEBACK TO I.T. ROOM 122, PROVIDE 6' SERVICE LOOP AND TERMINATE AT PATCH PANEL.

15. PROVIDE (2) WHITE CAT6 CABLES IN 3/4" CONDUIT FROM DACT INSIDE FACP TO I.T. ROOM 122 AND TERMINATEAT VOIP PATCH PANEL FOR REMOTE MONITORING.

16. INSTALL HEAT DETECTOR IN ELEVATOR PIT FOR SHUNT TRIP OPERATION OF ELEVATOR POWER CIRCUIT.

17. ELEVATOR LOBBY SMOKE DETECTOR FOR ELEVATOR RECALL FUNCTION.

18. ADDRESSABLE RELAYS FOR ELEVATOR RECALL, FIREMAN'S HAT, AND POWER SHUNT-TRIP, AND ADDRESSABLEMONITORING MODULE FOR MONITORING OF SHUNT TRIP VOLTAGE.

19. INSTALL SMOKE DETECTOR AND HEAT DETECTOR AT TOP OF ELEVATOR HOISTWAY PER LOCAL JURISDICTIONREQUIREMENTS.

20. EXTEND CONDUITS OVERHEAD AND STUB-UP INTO I.T. ROOM 122. FIELD COORDINATE EXACT ROUTING.

21. CORE DRILL THROUGH EXISTING WALL AND PROVIDE MODULAR MECHANICAL SEALS AROUND CONDUITS(LINK-SEAL OR EQUAL).

22. (3) 3"X3" FIRE RATED PATHWAYS THROUGH FLOOR FOR TELECOM CABLING, SPECIFIED TECHNOLOGIES "EZ-PATH -SERIES 33" OR EQUAL. PROVIDE EXTENSION MODULES AS NEEDED TO EXTEND COMPLETELY THROUGH FLOOR.

23. PROVIDE FIRESTOPPING FITTINGS IN-LIEU OF NYLON BUSHINGS AT CONDUIT ENDS, WIREMOLD #FS2R-RED OREQUAL.

24. PROVIDE 24VDC, FLUSH MOUNTED ELECTROMAGNETIC DOOR HOLDERS POWERED FROM FIRE ALARM PANELAUXILIARY POWER CIRCUIT. PROVIDE AREA SMOKE DETECTOR AND ADDRESSABLE RELAY FOR CONTROL OF DOORHOLDERS. DOORS SHALL RELEASE UPON DETECTION OF SMOKE.
