NOTICE Issue of application forms for Repeaters (Arrear/Improvement)

1. The application forms for ESE May 2018 for Repeaters are being issued from

16 March 2018 for the following semesters:

a. B.Sc. 2nd Semester (CBCS Course)

b. B.Sc. 2nd Semester (Old Course)

c. B.Sc. 4th Semester (Old Course)

d. B.Sc. 6th Semester

e. M.Sc. 2nd Semester

2. The fees to be paid are: centre fee ₹ 500/-, examination fee ₹ 150 per theory paper,

admission card fee ₹ 50/-, mark sheet fee ₹ 100 per semester.

3. The centre fee and admission card fee are charged only once even if a student

applies papers in more than one semesters. Further, a student who has paid the

centre fee while applying as a repeater need not pay the same again in the event of

him/her applying as a regular in ESE May 2018. For this, the applicant is required to

retain the student copy of the fee deposit slip and should be able to produce it on

demand.

Repeater: Arrear papers

• A candidate who has appeared in a previous examination conducted by the college

and has not cleared a paper in the above examinations is eligible to apply for the

same.

• Admission card (copy) and mark sheet (original) of the examination in which the

paper was held must be submitted along with the application.

Repeater: Improvement of performance

• A successful regular candidate of ESE May 2017 desirous of improving his/her

performance in any theory paper is eligible to apply for the examination.

• Admission card (copy) and mark sheet (original) of the examination in which the

paper was held must be submitted along with the application.

• As per the exam rules and regulation, the upcoming ESE May 2018 is the only chance

for improvement of performance for students who appeared as regular candidates in

ESE May 2017.

• There is no provision for improvement of performance for a candidate who cleared

the paper as a repeater.

• There is no provision for improvement of performance in a non-theory paper.

Note for BSc CBCS students

• As per the examination rules and regulations, a student can appear in a paper for a

maximum 3 examinations. That means, only two chances for appearing examinations

of an arrear paper are permissible and must be within 2 (two) years of the student’s

first ESE appearance in that paper.

• If a student cannot clear any paper after 3 appearances, he/she fails the BSc

programme automatically. Students are therefore advised to apply after careful

thought and consideration.

• Once the application is accepted, admission card will be issued, and the applicant is

deemed to have appeared the papers applied for regardless of whether he/she

collects the admission card or whether he/she is present on the day of the

examination.

The last date of submission of forms without late fee is 4 April 2017. After the last date,

forms will be accepted with an additional late fee of ₹ 500/- (Rupees five hundred only).

No application will be entertained after the notice for issue of admission cards is published.
