MEN INVITED TO BREAKING OPEN GOD'S WORD

Men of the parish are invited to gather with others to spend time Breaking Open God's Word to better understand how God can be active in our lives today. On Thursday, June 6 at 7 p.m. at St. Kieran's library meeting room, men will gather to look at the Bible readings for Pentecost (Acts 2: 1-11; 1 Corinthians 12: 3-13, John 20:19-23). No previous Bible experience is necessary, just an openness to let God speak to your heart right now. See Father Tom for more details.

practices and our relationships.

The process will start in September and meet weekly until the Easter Vigil.

If you would like more information or know

Baby Shower to Benefit the Women’s Center

During the month of May we remember our mothers and, in particular, our Blessed Mother who is honored at this time of year. To highlight and honor motherhood, the Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Baby Shower to benefit the mothers served by the Women’s Center. This Catholic-based support center helps mothers who have decided to give birth to their infants instead of opting for abortion. When mothers make this decision, the Women’s Center supplies anything needed to nurture their families. The Baby Shower will take place all weekends in May to June 9th. Articles may be left on the designated table for these donations that is in the church vestibule. You may, if you wish, pledge your donation in honor or in memory of a loved one by using the form below. Return the completed form with your donation and they will be placed in a basket to be brought forward in prayer during the Knights of Columbus Rosary Rally after the 10 AM Mass on Sunday, June 9th. The names will also appear in our bulletin sometime during the month of June. Articles needed for the Baby Shower are listed below. The Women’s Center is requesting that clothing be limited to anything between zero and 18 months. The Women’s Center is located at 5116 North Cicero Avenue, Chicago IL 60630; they can be contacted at their office phone of (773) 794-1313 and email at [email protected] at any time. Thanks for your generosity in being a part of this event.
