Upon arrival we’ll explore the wizarding world of Harry Potter while touring the Warner Brothers Studio. We’ll walk on actual sets used in the movies and see props, costumes and special effects details! We’ll continue to historic Oxford where we’ll stay for the next 3 nights.

Pre Tour Day 3-Aug 23 Oxford, EnglandAfter breakfast we’ll begin a walking tour through cobbled streets and quaint alleyways to Oxford University and pass University Church, Radcliffe Camera, Old Schools Quadrangle (The Bodleian Library) and The Bridge of Sighs. We’ll visit Christ Church College with its deep history then the afternoon will be yours to explore. (B)

Pre Tour Day 4-Aug 24 Stratford on AvonToday we explore the Tudor market town of Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare. We’ll visit a restored 16th-century timbered house as well as the cottage once owned by Shakespeare’s wife, Anne Hathaway. We’ll continue to Shakesepeare’s grave at the Church of the Holy Trinity. Pre Tour Day 5-Aug 25 Southampton to board cruiseToday after breakfast we’ll take the scenic drive back to Southampton to board our cruise and meet up with the other tour members to explore Norway. (B,L,D)

Days 1/2: Aug 24-25 US Home City to London, EnglandDepart your home city for an overnight flight to London. Upon arrival, transfer to Southampton to board the beautiful Norwegian Jade for your 10 day cruise.

Day 3: Sunday, August 26 Day at SeaToday we will celebrate the Sabbath with a wonderful devotional centering on the Savior Jesus Christ. Later in the day we will give a lecture, “Eleven Things You Probably Didn’t Know about The Book of Mormon.” (B,L,D)

Day 4: Monday, August 27 Haugesund, NorwayAlthough the region has a rich Viking heritage, Haugesund is a young city touting culture and arts festivals. Discover the Langfoss Waterfall or enjoy a scenic hike or bike ride on one of the many trails crisscrossing the landscape or visit the tranquil beaches of Karmøy.

In an underground well formation, you will find the source of all knowledge and at the Nordvegen history center, you will walk through Avaldsnes’ fascinating history of Vikings and the magic of Norse mythology. On a reconstructed Viking farm we will experience the Viking lifestyle and look inside Viking houses. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Tuesday, August 28 Hellesylt and Geiranger, NorwayGeiranger Fjord is a breath-taking natural wonder. Emerge from a fairy tale pine forest and gaze at the surrounding mountains of the Moldskreddalen Valley. In Geiranger you’ll find a quaint village nestled in a valley in western Norway.

Next, we’ll head to Dalsnibba Mountain, 1,500 metres above the fjord. Next we visit Flydal Gorge. To reach our final stop, we’ll drive on the Ørnevegen, the Eagle’s Way, with its 11 hairpin turns. We then arrive at the Seven Sisters Waterfall with seven streams, or “unmarried sisters’ who dance playfully with ‘The Suitor’, the waterfall across the fjord. (B,L,D)

Day 6: Wednesday, August 29 Flam, NorwaySituated deep within the valleys of Norway, Flam is a nature lovers’ escape. The towering mountain cliffs and sweeping waterfalls are a pure splendor. The Flam Railway is a point of interest and so are the various fjord sightseeing tours.

We’ll also see Nærøyfjord, one of two Norwegian fjords named a World Heritage Site. Day 7: Thursday, August 30 Alesund, NorwayOne of Norway’s most beautiful towns, Alesund is renowned for its Jugend-style architecture and art nouveau style. This capital of Norway’s fishing industry, Alesund is built on islands extending to the sea! (B,L,D)

Day 8: Friday, August 31 Bergen, NorwayView this charming Norwegian city which is nestled between seven mountains, seven fjords and the North Sea. The Norwegian King resided here, and many historical events took place in this busy port.

Cross the main square, Torgalmenningen, with the Seamen’s statue, and the famous Fish Market on our way to Bryggen Hanseatic Quarters. Before reaching Bergen’s oldest street, Ovregaten Street, we’ll pass St. Mary’s church. We’ll also take the funicular to the top of Mt. Floien, 1,050 feet above the city. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Saturday, September 1 Kirkwall, Orkney IslesThis beautiful island holds ancient treasures like the mysterious Standing Stones of Stenness and the 5,000-year-old village of Skara Brae, which was discovered with the furniture and indoor drains intact. Be sure to visit the striking trio of St. Magnus Cathedral, the ruins of the Earl’s Palace and the Bishop’s Palace. After touring, stop in a local pub for salmon and lamb dishes with the locals. Day 10: Sunday, September 2 Day at SeaToday we sail across the North Sea back to England. We will gather as a group for some special lectures and celebrate the Sabbath with a Christ-centered devotional on our last day together on this magnificent ship. (B,L,D)
