What are your current challenges (Organisational, Data management, funding, technology)
that others may be able to assist with because they may have had the same problem?
• QC of submitted data
– Seismic data
• data in general and particular focus on spatial data
• Follow up of mandatory reporting of seismic
– Ref. revised regulations in 2012
• Legacy data of various vintages not currently stored in Diskos
– Can this data still be read from old media?
– Cost of upgrading/loading data – business case?

Successes
Are there any initiatives or processes that were particularly successful that you
would like to share with others?
• Completed the transition to new contractor for all databases (well,
seismic, production, data trading)
– New software implemented (CGG Trango + Kadme WhereOil)
• Migration to a new data model
– New storage solution (Evry + Green Mountain) for very large volumes of data
(ref. 2012 Regulation revision)
– Improved security of all database systems
• Implemented software solution for completeness control
• More robust technology and workflows for data trading

Future Plans
What are you going to do next, e.g. add seismic data, re-tender etc? There will
be others who have done this and may be able to help.
• Legacy data issues to be given focus
• Load backlog of non-reported seismic >= 2012
• Completion of ongoing projects
– Implement recommendations from Geograf regarding QC of spatial data including revision of Yellow Book (guidelines for reporting geophysical data)
• Discussions regarding future options for Diskos
– Cloud solutions
– Maintain a sustainable business model
– Data analytics
– Options for management/storage of growing collections• Data reported according to NPD regulations
