Act of Spiritual Communion: My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive

You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite my-self wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Bishop’s Pastoral Letter

On Friday, September 24th Bishop da Cunha issued his 4th pastoral letter, Journeying To-gether: With Jesus on the Path of Faith & Hope. The Bishop shares “God is calling us to move forward and not stand still. My hope

in this pastoral letter is to offer you a vision for how we can do this and how you can join us in moving forward into the future as a Diocese.” The letter focuses on three areas: Invi-tational Witness, Sacramental Living, and Vocational Path-ways with each section offering mission steps – the actions that individuals, parish communities, and diocesan minis-tries need to take to make the vision a reality over the next 4 years. Please take the opportunity some time to review the letter along with the accompanying guidebook at www.fallriverdiocese.org/journeying-together

Annual Tootsie Roll Drive

The "Tootsie Roll" Fund Drive is one of the most recog-nizable activities that the Knights of Columbus do. The funds generated from this drive are used to support local programs which help people with special learning and life needs. Knights will be available after all Masses next weekend. Please support this important work and donate to the drive.

It’s Autumn- Dan’s Caravan is Fo-cused on Country Fairs and Music.

Calling all Bee Gees fans! The next best thing to seeing this very popular pop group of the past is to catch a good tribute band. That’s what we are doing next Friday even-ing, October 1st. Stayin’ Alive is the band, named after one of the Bee Gees’ big hits. The show begins at Stadium Theatre in Woonsocket at 8pm and tickets are $30. You must reserve soon, however, as tickets are few and only available in the balcony. On Monday, October 4th, the Caravan travels to the Topsfield Fair where the oldies band The Reminisants will perform at 2pm. We will leave from the Church park-ing lot after the 9am Mass and start back home after the concert. Of course, there are many activities at the fair and much food to satisfy your lunch. Moreover, that Monday is Senior Citizens Day, which means the discounted admis-sion of $10pp is the lowest fare in the eleven days the event is open. For more details about these outings and others to follow, please check the bulletin board at either entrance to the church. To reserve a seat on any Caravan trip, or to sign up for automatic Caravan schedule updates via email, contact Dan at [email protected] or at 508-269-4338.
