It’s not too late to volunteer for Trunk or Treat!

What a great opportunity to connect with our community! This year, it’s really simple. Our

goal is to have at least 100 trunks filled with candy! So... we are going to need LOTS of candy! There are

two ways to help make this a great event for the kids. Sign up to create a trunk OR bring a BUNCH of candy! 100 - 30 gallon tubs full of candy is our goal so we won’t run out! Bring the candy to the education hallway or to the

connection center out front. Let us be a blessing to the community and in turn allow them to bless us with

their presence.

OUTREACH || FALL 2013

Winter Youth Basketball League Registration and Evaluation will be held in the Life Center on October 26th. The league is for boys and girls. Evaluations will be for new players and will be scheduled as follows, ages 9-11 at 9 AM, ages 12-14 at 10 AM, and ages 15-18 (18 if still in high school) at 11 AM. Registration forms are available at www.enorthside.org. Returning players do not need to evaluated. Practices will be held one night a week beginning in November. The season consists of 10 games starting in January. The fee for the league is $50, which includes the uniform. We will be looking for volunteers to coach, referee, keep score, work concessions, and offer halftime testimonies.

Operation Christmas Child Gift Ideas (Don’t limit yourself: These are just a starting point!)

Toys: Small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A Sketch, toys that

light up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky, etc.School Supplies: Pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pads, writing pads or paper, solar calculator, coloring and picture books, etc. Hygiene items: Toothbrush, toothpaste, brush cover, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, hairbrush, washcloth, etc. Other: Hard candy or lollipops (double bag all candy), mints, gum, T-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlight with batteries, backpack or bag.DO NOT INCLUDE: Used or damaged items, war-related items such as toy guns, knives and military figures; chocolate or food; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans. You can also donate $7.00 for shipping!

GriefShare, Surviving the Holidays - It’s difficult when loved ones pass away; more so, as the holidays approach and especially when this is the first holiday without them. Many people have gone through several holidays

and still struggle with not knowing what to do or how to
