60% = 3 days a week (for 39 weeks) 78 days absence

50% = 2 ½ days a week (for 39 weeks) 97.5 days absence

ANYTHING BELOW 95% is unacceptable affecting both you and the school

ATTENDANCE FACT

School can no longer authorise holidays in

term-time!

Medical Appointments• If you MUST go for medical appointments during the school

day, AVOID registration times wherever possible!

• However, if your appointment is first thing in the morning, don’t wait until lunch to return to school. Come back as soon as your appointment is finished so that you can get your mark for the morning session!

• If your appointment is during the afternoon, don’t go home at lunchtime – get your afternoon mark first!

This has a huge effect on your own attendance and your tutor group’s position

in the league tables!

How does this work?

• Six leagues• At the end of each leg of the competition,

two tutor groups are promoted and two are relegated from each league

• Rewards are given to the top two attending tutor groups in each league

• Fairness – every week students who are educated elsewhere are not counted, as is the student with the least attendance in each tutor group. Percentage figure quoted reflects this.
