Local Government Act 2008wardS

I, daNIel rOberT kNIgHT, the minister for local government:(a) under section 9(2) of the local government act 2008,

and with reference to section 9(1)(f), create, for each shire specified in Schedule 1, column 1, the wards specified opposite in column 2; and

(b) under section 9(2) of the act, and with reference to section 9(1)(g), define the boundaries of the wards as follows:

(i) the wards within the barkly Shire are indicated on the map in Schedule 2; and

(ii) the wards within the central desert Shire are indicated on the map in Schedule 3; and

(iii) the wards within the east arnhem Shire are indicated on the map in Schedule 4; and

(iv) the wards within the macdonnell Shire are indicated on the map in Schedule 5; and

(v) the wards within the roper gulf Shire are indicated on the map in Schedule 6; and

(vi) the wards within the Tiwi Islands Shire are indicated on the map in Schedule 7; and

(vii) the wards within the victoria daly Shire are indicated on the map in Schedule 8; and

(viii) the wards within the west arnhem Shire are indicated on the map in Schedule 9; and

(c) under section 9(2) of the act, and with reference to section 9(1)(i):

(i) determine that the number of members to be elected for each ward is the number specified opposite the ward in Schedule 1, column 3; and

(ii) determine that one additional member is to be elected for the barkly Shire.
