Register Your Bike:
Many NMU students decide to use their bicycles to
commute to and from class.
Bikes on campus must be registered with Public
Safety. Students can register their bikes at any time
online through MyNMU (mynmu.nmu.edu). Log in,
click on the Student Services tab and go to the Public
Safety Services box to register today.
Use Your Head...Think Safety:
Consider purchasing a bell to alert other path users
to your presence, and ALWAYS WEAR A
HELMET. More information about cyclists’ rights and
responsibilities is available on the City of
Marquette’s Bicycle Safety Information Website.

Childcare Resources NMU does not have a daycare service. NMU does not endorse or have any affiliation
with any off-campus childcare provider. Please use your own good judgment; visit the
childcare provider, check the references, and talk with other parents in the center
prior to finalizing your childcare arrangement. The State of Michigan requires all
childcare providers to be licensed. Be sure to ask for proof of license by your provider.

Looking for places to eat on campus? A list of on-campus
dining facilities is located at meet.nmu.edu/dining.
Did you know there are meal plan options for commuter
students? There are a number of options available. You can learn
more here (scroll to the bottom and select “Commuter Plans”.)
Where can you heat up a meal you bring from home?
There are microwaves located in the Hedgcock building. One is
upstairs in the Multicultural Education Resource Center. The other is
downstairs in the alcove between the Financial Aid and Admissions
offices.
We’ve created an “Off-Campus Living Cost
Calculator.” You can use it to get a handle on
