individuals touched by mental illness. As a member, you become a part of NAMI at the

national, state and local level. Membership also entitles you to the following:

NAMI Northern Illinois Changing Minds and the NAMI Advocate newsletters; NAMI e-blasts;

up-to-date information on treatment options and community services; affiliate support groups,

classes, and educational programs; reduced conference rates; and, most importantly, making

your voice heard!

Development Activities

2017 marked our first signature ad campaign, also known as the “I Care” Campaign. 411

people standing up for their loved ones living with mental illness.

Our advertising methods have skyrocketed. NAMI Northern Illinois’ name is on billboards,

flyers, newsletters, t-shirts, newspapers, Facebook, giveaways, Instagram, and even on

CITY BUSES!

NAMI Northern Illinois held our second successful Mulligans for Mental Illness event

and raised OVER $16,500!

To finish up our year, the NAMI Northern Illinois Board of Directors sat down with an expert from K.O. Strategies to set a 3-5 year plan in motion. You will be able to see that plan on our website in the near future. From volunteer management to raising awareness, you will see through our

Strategic Plan where we are set to go.
