• A short powerpoint file outlining :• Contact details • your proposed idea including how it links to the

theme, proposed venue and expected visitor numbers

• Further content detail and images of work to be included or other work by the designers taking part.

• Deadline : The deadline for submissions is 18th February 2013

What does Grants for the arts fund?

What does it fund?

Arts-related activities including:

– artistic projects and events

– commissions and productions

– research and development

– activities for people to take part in

– audience development

– marketing activities

Who does it fund?Individuals –

– includes artists, performers, promoters, presenters, curators, producers, writers, groups of individuals and other individuals working in the arts

– grants normally range from £ 3,000 to £30,000 and can cover activities lasting up to three years

Organisations –

– includes arts organisations, local authorities, museums, libraries, partnerships, collectives, national organisations and organisations whose activity is not arts-related, including voluntary and community groups.

– grants normally range from £1,000 up to £100,000 and can cover activities lasting up to three years

– There is a dedicated libraries funding strand

Making an application– You must find at least 10% of the total cost of your activity from other

income sources – this is a minimum

– for projects which are related to other sectors for example health, education, social exclusion, Arts Council England expects other agencies to be providing significant amounts of partnership funding.

– a balanced budget: your income and spending (expenditure) must be the same, including how much you are asking for from Arts Council England

– a written proposal following the headings asked for in ‘How to apply’.

You must use these headings or your application will not be eligible

– Talk to a relationship manager before you submit!
