North Somerset Music Service provide tuition in: Violin, viola, cello, double bass, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, French horn, tuba, saxophone, flute, trumpet, trombone, piano, keyboard, drums and singing. Costs for 2015/16 are:

£82.50 for 10 x 30 minute group lessons £165.00 for 10 x 30 minute individual lessons £110.00 for 10 x 20 minute individual lessons

Private Teachers offer guitar lessons. Prices are set by individual teachers.

If you would like to book instrument lessons, please complete the form opposite and return it to Nailsea School as soon as possible. If you are booking lessons with a private teacher they will contact you direct regarding your booking and method of payment. If you are booking lessons through the North Somerset Music Service, the school will contact you with details of how to make payment through ParentPay.

Students may leave instruments in the Music Department at their own risk. Instruments are not covered by the school’s insurance policy whilst on the premises. We therefore encourage you to check your own home insurance policy in respect of this.

If a student misses a lesson, no refund will be made unless there are special circumstances.

Parents will receive a progress report from the tutor once a year. All children learning an instrument are encouraged to join at least one of

the music clubs running at school. Lesson times are rotated wherever possible, so that students do not miss

the same curriculum lesson every week. It is the student’s responsibility to regularly check the date, time and

location of their lessons in the Music Department.
