Located in historic Bedford County,London Downs Golf Club opened June 1991.It was designed and built by renownedcourse architect Russell Breeden, and isowned and operated by Ted Counts. It quick-ly became a favorite for golfers all overCentral and Southwest Virginia.

With gently rolling hills and undulatinggreens, the course is challenging but fair.London Downs is always in great condition.The bent grass greens are true and moder-ately quick. Bermuda grass fairways areplush in the summer and are over seeded inthe fall to maintain a good playing surface inthe winter months. From the tips the coursemeasures 7118 yards. There are two mainlakes and 10 ponds throughout the course,

and a beautiful view of the Peaks of Otter canbe seen as you tee off the 10th hole.

London Downs has hosted two SBCFutures tour events and also the Teardroptour, and plays host to numerous charity andcorporate events throughout the year.
