BAE 311 301

The BAE 311 301 is a 3/2-way spool valve ported G1/8” that can either be used normally closed (pressure at port 1) or normally open (pressure at port 3).

All the actuation-elements displayed on page 2.2.3 of valve-catalogue edition 2010 can be combined with the valve.

The electrical switch can be used up to 6 A / 125 VAC. Switch can be connected in two ways either normally open or normally closed.

The electrical switch can also be attached to BA 311 201, BA 511 201 and BA 511 301

Pressure applied to port 1 is internally feed to both ends of the spool. Not to switch the valve ports 12 and 14 have to be closed. When 12 or 14 is exhausted, the valve switches.Air is constantly streaming out of the switching port as long as exhaust is allowed.

Advantage: Solution safer on tubing as actuation elements need no air-supply.

Adjustable pneumatic pressure switch

P 311 501 SR pneumatically actuated 3/2-way valve G1/8” with mechanical spring return. Valve can be used normally closed (pressure at port 1) and normally open (pressure at port 3).

Valve can be used as an adjustable pneumatic pressure switch. By turning the hand-wheel the required minimum actuation pressure can be set between 3 and 6 bar. Adjustment is not independent from operation pressure.

Maximum actuation pressure is 10 bar.

Choice of different manual overrides

Hafner is offering the valves of the 16 mm as well as 22 mm series with different manual overrides.

Basically the valves of our 22 mm series are equipped with a resting manual override, turn by screw-driver to operate.

Type: MH

The valves of the 22 mm series can also be equipped with a true manual override, turn by hand to operate.

Type: MF

Basically the valves of our 16 mm series are equipped with a momentary manual override, push to operate.

Type: MD

The valves of the 22 mm series can also be equipped with this kind of override.

The valves of the 16 mm and 22 mm series can also be equipped with a combined manual override to push plus resting by turning.

Pressure Applied Safety Valve

Pressure Applied Safety Valve to hold a double acting actuator – especially a gripper - at the current position in case of cut-off of pressure supply.

The valve is consisting of two non-return valves which will be unlocked by pressurising port P1 or P2.

Installation between pilot valve and actuator.

This valve is often used for gripper-applications. In case of cut-off of pressure supply, the gripper will hold the item.

Inner parts are made of brass and POM, seals are made of NBR.

Useable in a temperature range of -10° C to +70° C.

Special version where the holding-function can be opened manually is available on request.

Block and Vent Valve

The BHN 601 is made for blocking the air supply from the pilot valve to the actuator and venting at the same time both actuator chambers.

This valve is often been used where on site servicing of the armature is required and during service the actuator needs to be isolated from the control system.

Valve can be used on single acting and double acting actuators.

Interface according to 1/4” Namur standard.

A special plate with G 1/4” BSP threads for remote piloting can be supplied on request.

Operation:

O-Position:The valve feeds the supply air from the pilot valve through to the actuator.

M-Position:Air supply from the pilot valve to the actuator is cut-off and the actuator chambers can exhaust through to the ports R of the block and vent valve.

The valve offers a locking function in the O-position (lock not included).

Namur Hand-Lever Valve with Safety Function

Hand-lever valve for direct assemblage to an actuator with 1/4” Namur interface.

Offers the possibility to override a positioner.

Version 731 701:Normally the lever is in the middle position and the actuator is piloted by the positioner. In this position the valve just feeds the signals from the positioner through to the Namur-ports.In case of electric / electronic problems the actuator can be opened or closed manually.

Advantages of version 701:Only one lever to manipulate (not 2 actuation elements).Overrides in manual mode the positioner, manual mode and automatic mode truly independent.

Version 731 702:If the knob is pushed, air flows from the positioner from Y to 4 and from X to 2.If the knob is pulled the positioner is shut-off. The lever valve is to be used as a centre closed 5/3-way valve, actuator can be fully opened, fully closed or put into intermediate position.

Advantage of version 702:Offers in manual mode a centre closed 5/3-way-valve. Version 701 is in manual mode a 5/2-way.

Short Circuit Valves

The PN 411 701 is made for direct assemblage to an actuator with 1/4” Namurinterface. It offers a 1/4” Namurinterface towards the pilot-valve (use as sandwich plate) as well as ports G 1/4” (piped application).

The P 411 121 is an in-line-version for high-flow-application, ported G1/2”.

Function: As long as a pneumatic signal is applied, the valve forwards the signals applied to 2 an 4 through to X and Y. When no pneumatic signal is applied the ports 2 and 4 are shortcut.

Typical application: Automated process-valve equipped with a gear-box for manual actuation. In case of a failure, the valve ensures, that the user doesn't have to close the process valve against the force of the air, which is usually trapped in the actuator.

The Hafner Namur air-recirculation block absolutely guarantees, that only exhausting air from the actuation-side is going into the spring chamber and for sure no ambient atmosphere.

Especially been used for remote piloting (e.g. a valve which is assembled in a control cabinet).

Valve is designed for spring return pneumatic actuators with an 1/4” Namur-Interface.

Standard with a G 1/4“ pilot port.

Stainless steel version is available on request.

Quick-Exhaust-Block with Non-Return-Function

The valve is designed for spring-return actuators with G 1/4” Namur-interface.

The block assures that only processed air that has been used to open the actuator is used in the spring-chamber. Excess air is released very fast by the quick-exhaust valve, exhaust-port G 1/2”, orifice 10 mm.

Two exhaust-ports “R” allow that the product can always be assembled so the silencer faces downwards.

The non-return valve makes absolutely sure that no ambient atmosphere can be sucked into the actuator.

Any 3/2-way valve can be used as pilot valve. The interface towards the pilot valve is G 1/4”.

If requested the plate for the pilot-valve-interface can be exchanged, e.g. by a Namur-interface plate.

Materials used: Anodised aluminium, brass, NBR.

Controlblock for double acting actuators with 1/4“ Namurinterface to be used on process-valves with inflatable seal.

The control-block receives it‘s signals to open and close from a standard 5/2-way Namurvalve. The block is to be put between the actuator and the Namur-valve (flange-version). The closing-signal is fed through to the actuator, the seal is inflated with time-delay. When the process-valves is to be closed first the seal is deflated, with time-delay the actuator opens the process-valve. Opening- and closing-time-delay can be adjusted independently but they are related to the operating pressure. At 6 bar time-delay can be adjusted between 0 and 2 seconds.
