Non-PVC Films An environmentally preferred solution

A good choice for the environment3M™ Controltac™ Non-PVC Film with Comply™ Adhesive 3545C was

developed by 3M based on polyolefin technology. The manufacturing

for the base of this film uses substantially less solvent than traditional

manufacturing processes with a solvent free base film. This flexible,

printable plastic film provides an alternative to traditional vinyl films.

Our polyolefin technology is made from a unique engineered

hydrocarbon, custom built to meet the needs of the graphics market.

The multi-layer, specially engineered film is made from nonchlorine

chemistry, which offers use and disposal advantages to graphics

manufacturers and end users. Based on its composition, the film’s

trimmed edges can be recycled as raw material, and the film can be

incinerated or safely landfilled.

This film and its compatible overlaminate (3M™ Scotchcal™ Lustre

Overlaminate 8908) offer architects, builders, transit authorities and

graphic specifiers an ideal solution for medium-term, large format

graphics for interior and exterior applications. Graphics made with

3545C offer easy installation by combining 3M’s unique pressure-

activated, repositionable Controltac adhesive with the Comply™ adhesive

air release channels.
