777 Auxiliary News
I can’t believe that Memorial Day isn’t far off; a year goes by so quickly!
June 1st begins the American Legion’s new fiscal year and our 2017 dues!
As always, Memorial Day is a big day for the American Legion and we
invite you all to take part in some way with us as we honor our Veteran’s
and remember all those who have served past and present.
Sadly, our Auxiliary will not be having Poppies this year. We’ve been
unable to find enough volunteers from our post who are able or willing to
take a shift promoting our Poppies and their meaning. Please let me know
if this is something you’d be willing to do next year.
Our Juniors continue to do a great job. They will be marching in the
Memorial Day parade with us again. We’d love to have more young ladies
get involved. If you’re interested, it is only $5/year for all Junior Auxiliary
members under the age of 18.
Thank you to one and all who support your Auxiliary so that we can
continue to support your Post!
In the Spirit of Service Not Self for Veterans, God and Country,
Patti Leake, President

April 1st the Post will have its 4th annual Gun Raffle. First prize is a
Henry 30/30, 2nd prize is a Henry 17 HMR and 3rd prize is a Henry Golden

each. Tickets are $4 each or 3/$10.
Thank you to the Canadians from Royal Canadian Legion for your con-
tinuing support of our Memorial Day. For 34 years, they have come down
over our Memorial Day weekend to help us celebrate, often accompanied
by their Cadet Drill Team.

fund projects and upkeep.
Sincerely,
the Breakfast Volunteers
Sons of the Legion
I hope everyone had a very happy Easter. I would like to Thank every-
one that participated in our 200 Club and rifle raffle. The event turned out
to be very successful for the Sons. I would like to Thank Dave Watson and
his wife, in particular, for all the time and hard work to make this event
successful. I would also like to Thank all the volunteers, for without you,
we could not have done this.
I would like to Thank my Board, for a very exciting past year. Just a re-
minder that elections are coming up In May and the SAL meets the 2nd
Tuesday of each month. SAL members are encouraged to attend.

Do you have an hour or a couple of hours that you could donate to
your post?
If so, we could use you! Your Legion, SAL and Auxiliary all need a little
help from their members. Even an hour to attend meetings would help!
Can you spare a couple of hours to help at our breakfast , the children's
parties, family picnic or help the Auxiliary on Tuesday nights?
There are always little projects that pop up from mailing letters, to selling
raffle tickets, sitting at the door, painting a picture or painting a wall, and
occasionally bigger projects that might call for a certain skill. Your Legion
could use your help.
Please email: [email protected] or contact an officer at our Post.
We would certainly appreciate it!
