777 Auxiliary News

I can’t believe that Memorial Day isn’t far off; a year goes by so quickly!

June 1st begins the American Legion’s new fiscal year and our 2017 dues!

As always, Memorial Day is a big day for the American Legion and we

invite you all to take part in some way with us as we honor our Veteran’s

and remember all those who have served past and present.

Sadly, our Auxiliary will not be having Poppies this year. We’ve been

unable to find enough volunteers from our post who are able or willing to

take a shift promoting our Poppies and their meaning. Please let me know

if this is something you’d be willing to do next year.

Our Juniors continue to do a great job. They will be marching in the

Memorial Day parade with us again. We’d love to have more young ladies

get involved. If you’re interested, it is only $5/year for all Junior Auxiliary

members under the age of 18.

Thank you to one and all who support your Auxiliary so that we can

continue to support your Post!

In the Spirit of Service Not Self for Veterans, God and Country,

Boy. Fourth & Fifth prizes are $50 each and 6th through 15th prize is $30

each. Tickets are $4 each or 3/$10.

Thank you to the Canadians from Royal Canadian Legion for your con-

tinuing support of our Memorial Day. For 34 years, they have come down

over our Memorial Day weekend to help us celebrate, often accompanied

by their Cadet Drill Team.

I hope everyone had a very happy Easter. I would like to Thank every-
