Non Electric Detonator

DESCRIPTION

It consists of a shock tube, with a length determined by the blast

design, to a high power detonator and delay period to initiate the

explosive charge. The other end of the the shock tube is sealed

and has a Cobra type plastic connector with a sticker indicating

the number of the delay.

CHARACTERISTICS

• A high power detonator.

• Blue "Cobra" type plastic connector.

• White numbered sticker label on the shock tube.

• YELLOW shock tube, with a minimum break load of 25 kg.

• Resistant to high and low temperatures, oil resistant in ANFO for 4

days at 40 ° C, water resistant.

• Reliable initiator for ANFO, APD Booster, cartridged explosives and

high explosives sensitive to blasting caps.

• The initiation signal propagates in the tube through folds, curves,

knots and ligatures.

• The shock tube remains intact after use.

(Note: As a rough guideline, for every 2 m shock tube used in the

assembly, add 1 ms to the nominal delay period of the detonator.)

The shock tube can not be initiated by:

• Radio frequency transmissions.

• Radiations.

• Parasite or stray currents.

• Electrostatic discharge.

• Burning / heat / friction.

STORAGE

• Store in an appropriate, cool, dry place.

• Store in an appropriate place, with low humidity and good ventilation.

• Comply with legal requirements concerning the storage of yourlocation.

• The shelf life is 36 months from the date of manufacture.

• Temperatures above 90 ° C can cause spontaneous explosions.

• Always rotate stock ( st in, st out).

APPLICATIONS

Enaex non-electric detonators are used in surface and underground

mining and civil works.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

• Hand with care. Damage to connector or tube can lead to failure

initiation.

• Always keep the detonators pointing in your opposite direction.

• Severe impacts on the detonator may result in a premature

detonation.

• Never pull, stretch or twist the shock tube.

• Never connect the blast or shot before completing the loading

operations and personnel in the area has been evacuated.
