CHURCH COORDINATING TEAM

Job Description, Duties & Responsibilities – The Church Coordinating Team is to assist the Senior Pastor, the Church Staff and the Active Board of Deacons in coordinating the administrative and teaching ministry of the church, as well as assist in clarifying the church’s mission and priorities. The Team is to advise the staff in their administrative and ministry functions when the church is not in Conference. The Team shall provide beneficial counsel, advice, direction and guidance to the church staff in order to maintain a coordinated implementation of the church’s many ministries, outreach and services that is consistent with the vision and mission of the church. The Senior Pastor or the Chair of the Active Board of Deacons shall make a report to the Active Board of Deacons at each regular Deacons meeting. Composition, Nomination, Election, Tenure - The Church Coordinating Team shall be composed of ten (10) members. The Senior Pastor who shall serve as the Chair of said team, the current Chair of the Active Board of Deacons, the Chair of the following Church Teams: Facilities, Finance, Missions, Personnel, and Stewardship, and three (3) at-large members. The at-large members shall be elected for a three-year term and shall not be eligible for re-election until one year has elapsed between terms. The at-large members shall be selected in the following manner. The Senior Pastor, current Chair of the Active Board of Deacons, and members of the Active Board of Deacons who are in the last year of their term of service shall submit a list of three (3) names to the Church Nominating Team from which one (1) name will be recommended by the Church Nominating Team and elected by the Church Conference to fill the expired at-large term. The initial three (3) at-large members of the Church Coordinating Team shall be selected in the same manner from a list of nine (9) names submitted to the Church Nominating Team. The Church Nominating Team shall recommend the initial three (3) at-large members and designate their terms of one, two, and three years, respectively. In the event of a vacancy, the Church Nominating Team at the request of the Active Board of Deacons and the Church Coordinating Team shall recommend to the Church Conference a replacement to fill the unexpired term. 2014
