Fáilte agus comhghairdeas
Junior and Senior Infants are having great
fun so far this year exploring a wide variety
of themes during their Aistear lessons. Ms.
Moroney and Ms Spillett would like to thank
all parents who donated toys, dress-up
costumes, games, etc to the school as Aistear
resources. They are of great benefit and the
school would be very grateful of any other
toy donations in the future. Go raibh maith
agaibh!
Cork Pops Orchestra
2nd class and Mr. Duggan’s class had a great
outing to Cork Pops. They really enjoyed
listening to music and singing along with the
songs.
Oíche Shamhna

very scary place to be as all the children
dressed up in fantastic Halloween
costumes.
Tips for Parents - Help your child with
Reading.
1. Establish a regular reading routine at
home.
2. Encourage your child to read on a regular
basis.
3. Help your child to find books that they
will love to read.
4. Use reading examples outside of books –
for example reading cinema timetables,
reading emails, reading weather reports,
etc.
5. Read little and often.
6. Encourage your child to bring home a
library book to read to a younger sibling.
7. Join the local library.
8. Encourage your child in all reading
efforts.

Sciath na Scol
Well done to the boys and girls of 5th and 6th classes who participated in the Sciath na Scol

progressing to the Sciath na Scol final which was played in Páirc Uí Rinn on the 8th of November.
We had a great day out in Páirc Uí Rinn. We are extremely proud of ye and we would like to thank
the boys and girls for their commitment. A huge thanks also to the teachers who gave their time
freely to train the teams and to the trainers at the club and parents who helped out with matches
and washing jerseys during the year.
We also participated in the 4th class fun blitz, Mini 7s Football competitions, 3rd class indoor
football blitz, 4th class indoor football blitz and the Sciath na Scol Quiz. Well done to all the boys
