JOBS: DELIVERING ON OUR TOP PRIORITY
LABOUR NEWSDEREK NOLAN TD
Galway is making strong progress. Unemployment is fallingeach month, new jobs are being created and confidence isgrowing. We are on the right track.
While I welcome this improvement, I know that real recoveryhas yet to be felt in most people’s lives. That is why Labour inGalway is working hard to deliver well-paying jobs, free GP carefor all and to lessen the burden on hard-pressed families.
Galway is a great place to live. Thanks to the sterling work ofLabour, including our councillors and representatives, we haveseen real improvements and investment in transportinfrastructure, school buildings, community facilities, broadband, home insulation and a zealous approach toprotecting green spaces.
But we all know there are still big challenges. Be itunemployment, health, housing, education, the community
and caring sector - the effects of Fianna Fail’s destruction ofour economy can still be felt.
With growth embedding and resources improving, Labour willbegin rebuilding these services. But this time it will be done forthe benefit of all, not just the elite few. It is this approach thatdefines Labour.
I am incredibly proud to represent you and your family in DáilÉireann, and to work with Labour councillors andrepresentatives from across Galway. As always, if there is everan issue you would like to raise with me, please do not hesitateto get in touch.
