PROCESS DESIGNERProcesses are the building blocks o all services. The defnition

o a service starts with defning the processes that users must

ollow to deliver the service successully and consistently.

The core activities library oers standard activity types that can

be dragged onto the workow stage to create a process. The

basic activity types are listed below:

User activity the basic building block o a workow and isused to create a process.

Sequential activity container allows individual user activitiesto be grouped and executed in a linear workow sequence.

Parallel activity container allows two or more activity branches

to be executed simultaneously. Branch activity container allows you to create two or more

separate activity branches and to defne business logic todetermine which branchs activities are executed.

Activity branch or the branch activity container addsadditional branch activities to the branch activity container.

Loop back activity container loops user activities as long asa condition is met, otherwise execution moves to the activityollowing the loop.

Integration activity - allows you to perorm an action in a third-party system, such as BMC Remedy.

SLA Start activity - allows you to speciy when the SLA periodor a service request starts.

Asset activity - allows you to create, rename, move or recyclean asset.

Invoke External Process activity - allows you to link to anexternal process.

    FORM BUILDER

With orms users can share inormation required or a service

request. With the Form Builder you can:

Create orms or capturing activity-related inormationrom users at specifc points within the workow or bettercollaboration and an auditable record o change.

Build a library o standard orms rom which orms can beselected or data capture in dierent processes.

The orm controls library oers standard controls that can be

dragged onto the building stage to create the orm. The basic

    control types are described below:

Text input records a single line o inormation.

Text area allows entry o ree orm text.

Combo box oers a selection o values.

Check box specifes true or alse or a condition.

Label places a label on the orm.

Date chooser allows a user to speciy a date. URL link includes a URL on the orm.

    SERVICE REQUEST ENGINE

Managing service requests includes the ull range o work rom

raising a request to completing the individual process tasks

required to ulfll the service. It also includes monitoring the

request and its tasks throughout service delivery.

Nlyte Workow Manager separates the management o

service requests into two discrete areas o responsibility, each

    conducted by a dierent group:

    1. Raising the request: Conducted by the customer business unit.

    2. Fulflling the request: Conducted by one or more support groups

    completing the tasks.

To help ensure users take account o changing customer

requirements and business circumstances throughout the

lie cycle o each service request, Nlyte WFM allows issues

to be recorded against individual tasks to indicate customer

requirements or issues that need to be resolved beore the task

can be completed. This ensures ormal SLAs and customer

    expectations are met.
