HIDDEN (Except when in parenthesis) somewhere in this Newsletter are “5” new APA Membership numbers just waiting to be discovered. From the March 9th newsletter, not a single soul called in to claim their prize. There is a party of 5 in the Loser’s corner this week. From the March 16th newslet- ter, so far only one has called in Jim Jeans (97207333), who plays for Sam’s “Rackless Aban- don” in the Mid Town division So folks, there will be 9 numbers out there for you to find this next week.. I’m sure one of ‘em will be yours especially if you don’t go look! Seriously, all you have to do is call the league office with the magic words “Gimme My Shirt” to win the prize if you see your number hidden. It will keep all your peers and everyone from pointing fingers, laughing & snickering, giggling snorting, tee hee’n ‘cause they know that there will be a shirt waiting for them since YOU failed to find yours! Thank you to Kraig and Carol and the staff of Midway Public House for hosng the event and providing excellent ser- vice. Special thanks to Boomer’s helpers: Sarah Pearson, Le Donovan, Wayne Vanosse and John Blue. With your help, we were able to keep the event moving along, geng as many people qualified as possible. Next up is the 8 Ball Play Till You Win, Rodder’s, April 4th, 10 am. Please pre-register with the league office by no later than Friday, April 3rd. The sooner, the beer so we can be properly staffed. lic House hosted our Play Till You Win

Singles Qualifier. 54 hopefuls attended the event. Each paid $40 entry fee, plus $3 greens fee to play on as

many 4 person, single elimination boards (split by skill levels, whenever possible), as it took to either get

qualified for the Fall Singles regionals or until we ran out of time. 38 players from this field are advancing to

On Saturday the 21st a Benefit for Jacob”Q” McNamee was held at the River Road

House in Milwaukie. The McNamee family would like to thank every one who par-

ticipated in the silent auction, 50/50 raffles and 9-ball tournament. Together dona-

tions generated $1835.00 that was presented to them to help with the burial for

Jacob our friend and league member. We would like to thank all the businesses

that made donations to the event starting with Brian Essig and the staff at the River

Road House. Gift certificates and donations came from APA: OPAL, Blount Indus-

tries, Midway Public House: Kraig and Carol, OPA Pizzeria: Tony and Suzy Karagounis, Sellwood Cycle Repair: Eric

Tonkin, Slingshot Bar and Grill: Jordan Walden, Sam Morrison, Hannah Gelok and the folks at Dead Gods Tattoo.

Special thanks to the 3 finalist’s of the 9-ball competition. Anton Renz, who had the point, Jason Grijalva and Rich

Burns who together decided the payouts for 1st $120.00 2nd $70.00 and 3rd $50.00 should go completely to the

family. Kudos Gentlemen. Editor’s Note: I know that Rob Rowley and Teena Mowery put a lot of time into or-

ganizing this event and should be recognized as well.
