1 Kings 2:1-4

1 When the time drew near for David to die, he gave a charge to Solomon his son.

2 "I am about to go the way of all the earth," he said. "So be strong, show yourself a man,

3 and observe what the LORD your God requires: Walk in his ways, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and requirements, as written in the Law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go,

4 ZIOUV yaac oix ei jienv ninh laengz bun yie nyei waac zoux. Ziouv gorngv, 'Se gorngv meih nyei zeiv-fun faix fim ninh mbuo yangh nyei jauv, oix zuqc longc nzengc hnyouv, longc nzengc za'eix ziepc zuoqv nyei yiem yie nyei nza'hmien, meih nyei zeiv-fun ziouc nzipc jienv I^saa^laa^en Mienh nyei hungh weic, maiv dangx.' 4 and that the LORD may keep his promise to me: 'If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.'

3. Oix zuqc yangh ninh nyei jauv, yaac ei fiev jienv Mose nyei Leiz-Latc Sou nyei yietc zungv leiz-latc caux lingc caux leiz (3yc)

Walk in his ways, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and requirements, as written in the Law of Moses (v.3c)

4. Hnangv naaic, maiv gunv meih zoux haaix nyungc fai mingh taux haaix norm dorngx, meih ziouc duqv longx (3yd).

So that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go(v.3d)

5. ZIOUV yaac oix ei jienv ninh laengz bun yie nyei waac zoux. (4ya).

and that the LORD may keep his promise to me(v.4a).

6. Ziouv gorngv, 'Se gorngv meih nyei zeiv-fun faix fim ninh mbuo yangh nyei jauv (4yb).

If your descendants watch how they live (v.4b).

7. Oix zuqc longc nzengc hnyouv, longc nzengc za'eix ziepc zuoqv nyei yiem yie nyei nza'hmien, meih nyei zeiv-fun ziouc nzipc jienv I^saa^laa^en Mienh nyei hungh weic, maiv dangx.' (4yc).

And if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel (v.4c)
