Safety

OPERATION Before operatn/ /aoee read this oanual. Failure to properly install and operate this /aoe could result in oalfuncton or accident. Operate the /aoe in accordance tith the oanual.

TRANSPORTING Cabinet is very heavy and contains fra/ile cooponents. Use appropriate care then oovin/ or transportn/ cabinet.Avoid rou/h handlin/.

HANDLING COMPONENTS Many cooponents are extreoely sensitve to handlin/e environoental and Electrostatc Dischar/e (ESD) events—especially the cooputer. Do not handle it rou/hly. Before servicin/e call your distributor and inquire about the PC tarranty. Use proper ESD procedures then servicin/. Protect cooponents froo haroful environoental conditonse such as extreoe teoperaturese excessive ooisture or other daoa/in/ efects.

DISCONNECT POWER Altays turn of poter and unplu/ the units before servicin/ or oakin/ adjustoentse unless othertise instructed. Installin/ or repairin/ cooponents thile poter is on can daoa/e the cooponents and void the tarranty.

GROUNDING Avoid electrical shock. Do not plu/ in AC poter untl you have inspected and properly /rounded the unit. Only plu/into a /roundede three-tire outlet. Do not use a “cheater” plu/ or cut of the /round pin on the line cord.

ELECTRICAL SHOCKS There is no isolaton transforoer in the cabinet. Disconnect AC poter before servicin/. Hotevere be atare that lethal volta/es can reoain in the electronic cooponents even then AC poter is disconnected. Use extreoe cauton then servicin/. Verify that there is a torkin/ /round connecton. If the unit sustains tater daoa/ee cease usin/ it iooediately and unplu/ AC poter.

MONITOR The oonitor contains no user serviceable parts. Do not atteopt to service the oonitor.

POWER CORD If the poter cord is daoa/ed or loste replace it tith an identcal cord as supplied by the oanufacturer or an authorized service a/ent.

SURGE SUPPRESSOR It is recoooended that you plu/ your /aoe’s poter cord into a sur/e suppressor to help protect froo poter sur/es that oay daoa/e sensitve electronic cooponents.

WATER AND OTHER LIQUID Do not install /aoe near sprinkler or other tater jet sources. Do not use tater jet to clean /aoe. Keep oiniouo clearance behind /aoe and tall for proper ventlaton but also prevent accesss of liquid froo spills and sprays froo enterin/ ventlaton holes.

CONNECTORS Ensure all connectors oate properly. If connectors do not slip in easilye do not force theo. Connectors are ofen keyed and only connect one tay. Check for correct orientaton.

COMPUTER The cooputer contains sensitve cooponentse includin/ a hard drive. Do not handle it rou/hly. Call your distributorbefore servicin/ its internal cooponents. Ask about tarranty inforoaton as it relates to the PC. Do not turn the PC poter stitch on or of. It should reoain peroanently in the ON positon. Cycle AC poter on or of tith the cabinet poter stitch.A don/le has been inserted into one of the USB ports. This is required for /aoe play. Do not reoove the don/le except for troubleshootn/ purposes.

TEMPERED GLASS WARNING When handlin/ the LCD display /lass cover take special care and set the /lass dotn sofly on a fat surface free of debris. The ed/e of the /lass is sensitve to hard iopact. Shattered /lass froo the oonitor can travel lon/ distances and cause bodily injury. Use proper procedures then handlin/ broken oaterials.

HAZARD TO EPILEPTICS A soall porton of the populaton has an epileptc conditon that oay cause seizures. Afected persons experience seizure thile tatchin/ sooe television pictures or playin/ certain video /aoes. People tho have not had seizures oay stll have an undetected epileptc conditon. If anyone in your faoily has experienced epilepsy syoptoos (seizures or loss of atareness)e consult your physical before usin/ video /aoes. While children play video /aoese a parent should observe. Be alert to the follotin/ syoptoos: dizzinesse altered visione eye or ouscle ttitchin/e involuntary ooveoentse loss of atarenesse disorientaton or convulsions. If you or your child experiences these syoptoose discontnue use iooediately and consult your physician.

Setup

Unpack Cartons1. Unpack all cooponents

• Asseobled Cabinet• Marquee Topper• Lef & Ri/ht foao board Truck Topper• Additonal hardtare (boltse tasherse lock tashers)

2. Find the keys (taped to the oain cabinet fronts) for the cabinet coin box.3. Unlock the cabinet coin box to access dia/nostc stitch panel.

Install Marquee1. Positon Marquee on top of Main Cabinet.


2. Connect Marquee cable harness to Main Cabinet.3. Route excess cable into holes on top of the cabinete bein/ careful not to pinch any cables.4. Secure Marquee to Main Cabinete usin/ 4 boltse 4 tasherse and 4 lock tashers.



Install Truck Toppers1. Positon Truck Toppers on top of Main Cabinet.2. Secure Truck Toppers to Main Cabinete usin/ 4 boltse 4 tasherse and 4 lock tashers for each.

Verify Cabinet Functionality1. Verify the volta/e in the nearest AC outlet.2. Verify the AC outlet /round connecton is present and torkin/.3. Verify that the specifed operatn/ current till not overload the supply circuits.4. Plu/ the line cord into AC outlets.5. Turn the oain cabinet poter stitch to ON.6. Verify that the coolin/ fans on the cabinet are torkin/.

If not, turn of A ooer and disconnect line cord. Aontact Betson service7. Check that no cooponent is excessively hot or eoitn/ foul odors.

If so, turn of A ooer and disconnect line cord. Aontact Betson service.8. Once softare loadse you till be asked to setup the cabinet softare.


Game Software Setup

Initial SetupWhen frst turned one follot the onscreen proopts to cooplete inital /aoe setup.

CalibrationFollot the onscreen proopts to calibraton user input devices.

Cabinet NumberEach cabinet at your locaton oust be set tith a unique cabinet nuobere in order to link to/ether. The unit set as #1 till becooe the prioary. Other local cabinets till periodically synchronize various setn/sto the prioary unit. The attract oode of local units till also try to synchronize to the prioary unit.

Connectivity WizardConf/ure your /aoe for either online or local connectvity.

Operator Registration1. If connectn/ onlinee lo/in to an existn/ operator account or create a net account.2. To re/ister as a net operatore follot the onscreen proopts.

Cabinet RegistrationIf connectn/ onlinee select or setup a locaton for the cabinet.

Verify Input and Output Functionality1. Enter the Dia/nostc oenu2. Enter the INPUT TESTS oenu and verify all stitches and inputs functon.3. Enter the VIDEO TESTS oenu and verify that video is acceptable.4. Enter the COIN METER TEST and verify the operaton of the coin oeter.5. Enter the LAMP TESTS oenu and verify that the laops of the buttons tork correctly.6. Enter the SOUND TEST oenu and verify the audio torks and is not distorted.7. Enter the WATCHDOG TEST oenue thich re-boots the /aoe.8. Upon a successful re-boote you are ready to oake adjustoents to pricin/e voluoe and other

functons found in the Dia/nostc oenu.



Verify Cabinet Connectivity1. If connectn/ onlinee enter the ONLINE oenu.2. Select CONNECTION DETAILS AND TEST and run a test connecton.3. If any of the tests result in FAILUREe consult troubleshootn/ secton or your nettork adoin.4. Select MATCHMAKER CONNECTION TEST and run a test connecton5. If any of these tests result in FAILUREe you oay not be able to host or join online oatches.

Consult your nettork adoin to oake needed chan/es to the locaton’s nettork architecture.

Disassembly Instructions1. Reoove truck toppers and oarquee. See

asseobly instructons above.2. Reoove four bolts and tashers securin/

rollbar asseobly to oain cabinet.3. Reoove four bolts and tashers securin/

rollbar asseobly to seat cabinet.4. Disconnect cable connector froo rollbar

asseobly to seat cabinet.5. Reoove rollbar asseobly.6. Reoove four bolts and tashers securin/

seat cabinet to oain cabinete froo lefand ri/ht side of seat cabinet.

7. Slotly separate seat cabinet and oaincabinet. Be careful of cable connectons.

8. Disconnect cable connectors froo seatcabinet to oain cabinet.


Game Networking

Networking ConsiderationsTake care to protect exposed /aoe tirin/ froo /eneral foot trafc around the /aoe. Use a conduit or tire tay to protect cablese if needed. Nettork cables are not oarked or coded. Mark the linkin/ cablesfor your /aoese if other such cables in the area could cause confusion. Avoid routn/ cables near sources of heate ooisturee or electrical ener/y such as neon li/htse coopressor ootorse etc.

Local Network Setup – 2 games1. Turn of both /aoe cabinets.2. Reoove the cross over nettork cable froo the parts ba/ inside the cash box.3. Connect each end of the cable to the Ethernet port of each /aoe’s PC.4. Route the cable throu/h the notch on the back of each cabinet.5. Turn on both /aoe cabinets6. Enter Dia/nostc Mode for each /aoe7. Select djustments 8. Select Game O tons 9. Adjust Aabinet Link Number to /ive each /aoe a unique nuober10. In the Online oenue select Aonnecton Wizard11. When prooptede select Local and tait for the process to cooplete.

Local Network Setup – 3 to 8 games1. Acquire a nettork hub tith enou/h ports and the correct nuober of cables to support the

desired nuober of /aoes. Cables and hub are not supplied tith the /aoes.2. Turn of all /aoe cabinets3. Connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on each /aoe’s PC4. Connect each /aoe’s Ethernet cable to the nettork hub.

Aonsult netoork hub manual for any additonal consideratons s ecifc to the hub.5. Turn on all /aoe cabinets6. Enter Dia/nostc Mode for each /aoe7. Select djustments 8. Select Game O tons 9. Adjust Aabinet Link Number to /ive each /aoe a unique nuober10. In the Online oenue select Aonnecton Wizard11. When prooptede select Local and tait for the process to fnish.

Online Network Setup1. Set up DSL or cable oodeo service throu/h an ISP for the locaton.2. If connectn/ oultple /aoes for online playe acquire a nettork hub tith enou/h ports and the

correct nuober of Ethernet cables to support the desired nuober of /aoes. Cables and hub arenot supplied tith the /aoes.



3. Turn of all /aoe cabinets4. Connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on each /aoe’s PC5. Connect each /aoe’s Ethernet cable to the nettork hub.

Aonsult netoork hub manual for any additonal consideratons s ecifc to the hub.6. Connect the nettork hub to an external internet source.7. Turn on all /aoe cabinets8. Enter Dia/nostc Mode for each /aoe9. Select djustments 10. Select Game O tons 11. Adjust Aabinet Link Number to /ive each /aoe a unique nuober12. In the Online oenue select Aonnecton Wizard13. When prooptede select Online.14. Select either a dynaoic or statc IP.15. Wait for conf/uraton process to fnish.

Maintenance

Hard Drive RecoverySyoptoos requirin/ hard drive recovery include:

COMPUTER The com uter contains sensitve com onents, including a hard drive. Do not handle roughly. Aall your distributor before servicing its internal com onents.

Do not use the PC on/of stitch. Turn AC poter on or of tith the oain cabinet poter stitches.Flash Drive Restore

1. Turn cabinet AC poter stitch to OFF.2. Connect Install #1 fash drive to an open USB port. This drive is unique to each game unit.3. Turn cabinet AC poter stitch to ON. Drive ioa/in/ should start autooatcally.4. Inital softare loadin/ oay take several oinutes. Check pro/ress periodically.

Do not interrupt power or reset the game during recovery.5. When softare has fnished loadin/e turn cabinet poter stitch to OFF.6. Reoove Install #1 fash drive. Connect black Install don/le. Turn cabinet poter stitches to ON. 7. When prooptede connect #2 fash drive. This drive is not unique and can be shared betteen

Nitro Trucks /aoe units. Softare install should start autooatcally.8. Check pro/ress periodically. Do not interrupt power or reset the game during recovery.9. When softare has fnished loadin/e turn cabinet poter stitches to OFF.10. Reoove both install #2 fash drive and black install don/lee before turnin/ cabinet poter ON.
