Department of Management Studies (DMS)came into existence recently within theational Institute of Technology umbrella and

aims to impart quality management andtechnical education. The courses offered from amix drawn from a well developed body ofknowledge coming from a diverse background.Jt aims at developing the analytical skills,functional skills, operational skills, leadershipqualities as well as ethical and moral valueswithin the students. Semester 1& 1I focusmainly on the different concepts of generalmanagement education to give the students agood grounding in all the functional areas ofmanagement study. Dr. Neelotpaul Banerjee(Gold Medallist), Ph.D, Assistant Professor, Dept of Management Studies,

National Institute of Technology, DurgapurDr.Banerjee secured the first position in the University in the MBA examination forwhich he received a gold medal from the University. He has also secured the secondposition in the University in the B.Sc examination. Dr.Banerjee's research papers
