ARTICLE 1 - ORGANIZATION

1.1 - ORGANIZERS

The 2017 NISSAN MICRA CUP is organized by JD Promotion et Compétition Inc., and is sanctioned by Auto Sport Québec FIA representative and designated in this document by ASQ.

The NISSAN MICRA CUP organizing committee has all the powers on the organization of the series event’s and is composed of the following members:

JD Promotion et Compétition Inc. reserves the right to change the composition of the organizing committee members at any time.

1.2 - APPLICABLE REGULATIONS

This regulation shall apply from 1 January until 31 of December 2017.

All points not covered by the sports and technical regu-lations falls under: •FIAinternationalsportregulations, •Generalcompetitionrules, •AutoSportQuébecsportingcode, •Thesupplementaryregulationsofthe concerned event, •NISSANMICRACUPofficialpublishedbulletins.

All participating drivers and competitors of the NISSAN MICRA CUP are deemed to know all the above regula-tions. They undertake to respect this set of texts, both in form and in spirit.

1.3 - 2017 PROVISIONAL CALENDAR

* One of the two technical day is mandatory.

ARTICLE 2 - COMPETITORS AND DRIVERS

2.1 - LICENSES

The NISSAN MICRA CUP is open to all drivers with a valid ASQ, road racing license, or any other equivalent or higher road racing license recognized by ASQ.

2.2 - GUESTS DRIVERS

NISSAN MICRA CUP may at its discretion accept non-registered drivers in the series. These drivers will be known as guest drivers. They will be ranked according totheirfinalpositionintherace,butwon’tbeallowedany points in the standings nor will they receive prizes or purses.

The awards as well as ranking points will be awarded to the following drivers in the standings of the race.

2.3 - REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

Any driver or team who wants to register to a NISSAN MICRA CUP event has to send is registration form five (5) days before the event to:

JD Promotion et Compétition Inc. at this email address: [email protected] and at the following address : JD Promotion et Compétition Inc. 3195 d’Auvergne, Trois-Rivières, Québec, G8Y 3L1.

The registration form must be accompanied by a check made out to JD Promotion et Compétition Inc. to cover the registration fees.

Just by signing their registration form, drivers and com-petitors accept the terms of the present sport regula-tions, and undertake to respect it in form and in spirit.

2.4 - REGISTRATION REFUSAL

In accordance with Article 3.14 of the International Sporting Code, the NISSAN MICRA CUP organizing committee reserves the right to refuse registration to any applicant to the NISSAN MICRA CUP :

•Wouldnotfulfilltherequiredconditions

•Whowouldpursueanobjectcontrarytothoseof motorsport or those of JD Promotion et Compétition Inc.

•Whowouldhaverefusedtoimplementthe decisionsofASQ,theirofficials or JD Promotion et Compétition Inc.

•Whobyhiswords,hisactionsorhiswritings wouldhavebroughtamoralormaterialprejudice toNISSAN,itsaffiliates,itsemployeesorits management, including in previous racing seasons.

•Whowouldnothavepaidafinancialpenalty(fine) during a previous season or a previous event.

•Whowouldhaveadebtoraccountwith JD Promotion et Compétition Inc. or any of the NISSAN MICRA CUP partner.

•Whoseapplicationasaparticularnaturethatwill not allow to preserve the spirit of the NISSAN MICRA CUP.

The competitor will be warned promptly in the event that a request to participate is refused, and JD Promo-tionetCompétitionInc.willreturnhimthecheck(s)for the registration at an event or will reimburse the rights for registration.

2.5 - EVENTS REGISTRATION

Just by signing their registration form, drivers and com-petitors accept the terms of the present sport and tech-nical regulations, and undertake to respect it in form and in spirit.

It is the responsibility of the competitor to ensure that all persons concerned by his entry observe all the provi-sions of the general requirements, ASQ sporting code, technical regulation of the NISSAN MICRA CUP and of this sporting regulations.

NISSAN MICRA CUP participation costs

The competitors have two options for the payment of the registration fees:

OPTION # 1:$7800.00+Taxes($8968.05)Single payment for all the championship.

OPTION # 2 :**Add$250.00+Taxes($287.44)to all indicated events.

* One of the two technical is mandatory.

All events have two races.

2.6 - GENERAL

These fees represent :

•NISSANMICRACUPregistrationfees •Credentialsforfour(4)personsandparking. (Places determined in paddocks depending on spaceavailable) •JDPromotionetCompétitionInc.services •Thevariousidentificationsforcarsandsuits

A competitor who sent a registration application will be considered permanently registered after receiving offi-cialconfirmationfromNISSANMICRACUP.Thisofficialconfirmationwillbesentbyemailonly.

To participate to the NISSAN MICRA CUP serie, an email address is mandatory.

2.7 - CREW

A team of many drivers can register a car in the series.

During the season, it will be possible to change the crew.

The drivers will have to follow the procedure of adminis-trative checks and attend the driver’s meeting. Winning points will be given individually to each driver that par-ticipates to an event.

For each session, the crew must name a driver, in writing, no later than two hours before the start of the session.

2.8 - INFORMATION DISSEMINATION

It will be mandatory for each driver and competitor to have a valid email address in order to receive all the necessary information for the success of the event.

Competitors and drivers are responsible for the running of their email address in case of absence or poor recep-tion of the information.

In case of a change in the email address of a competitor or driver, it will be mandatory to inform sports manage-ment at this e-mail address: [email protected] as soon as the change is effective.

2.9 - FAIL TO PARTICIPATE

In case of a driver that cannot participate to an event of the NISSAN MICRA CUP, he will have to send an email saying that he cannot participate to Sports management at this email address: [email protected] no later than 10 days before the event in question.

NISSAN MICRA CUP will not refund the registration fee within 10 days before the event in question.

ARTICLE 3 - CARS AND EQUIPMENTS

3.1 - VEHICLE PERMITTED

The driver’s participation is authorized only if driving:

Model S 2015,2016 and 2017 NISSAN MICRA, complying with technical regulations of the 2017 NISSAN MICRA CUP.

Vehicles must imperatively present the official decals of the NISSAN MICRA CUP in accordance with the identification plan annexed to the technical regulations

All vehicles must necessarily have undergone initial scrutineering.

3.1.2 Vehicle change

Vehicle change in between qualifying and race is forbid-den.

However, the change of the vehicle between the races is allowed provided:

•Followinganaccident,theregisteredvehicleis declaredirreparablebythescrutineeringofficial before the beginning time of the false grid of the next race.

•Thetechnicalinspectorandtheseriessteward may give their approval after a new vehicle has passed the preliminary scrutineering. The series steward remains free arbiter of the relevance and sporting fairness to grant a change of vehicle.

•Acompetitorcannottakethestartofthenextrace with a new vehicle without the agreement of the technical inspector who will verify the compliance withthedefinitionoftheNISSANMICRACUP.

The vehicle change will necessarily mean that this ve-hicle will have to start from the back of the pack for the raceorthetworaces,allthissubjecttotheagreementof the series steward.

3.2 - USE OF TIRES

NISSAN MICRA CUP imposes a limitation on the num-ber of tires that are use. At each event, a competitor may register 4 slick tires that he wants to use during this event. The supplied tires at given at the purchase of a car and the registered tires for a past event can also be used. NISSAN MICRA CUP will keep a log of these tires.

The driver will be responsible for the concordance be-tween the registration barcode included in the registra-tion card and those placed on the tires of his car. The driver or one of his crew must give a list of registered tires before each event.

It will be under the responsibility of the driver to pre-sent a car equipped with tires that show barcodes, and that can sustain participation to qualifying sessions and races safely. Otherwise, he could be prohibited to go on track.

A barcode not appearing in the individual log is a techni-cal infringement.

Registered barcodes must be made visible by the com-petitor for controls.

In case of damage of one or more slick tires, the amount of slick tires that each driver has the ability to record providesasufficientnumberofreplacementtires.There-fore, no spare tire can be used. However, NISSAN MI-CRACUP’sorganizers,will judgeeach individualcaseon the deterioration of tires under the conditions men-tioned below.

Following the observation of deterioration of many slick tires, by the technical inspector, and upon the approval of the series steward. The competitor will have the op-portunity to use one or two unregistered slick tires on the front axle only if he doesn’t have enough tires with the wear that would allow a safe second race. In this case, a penalty of ten (10) places on the starting grid will be given to the driver. For safety reasons, the change of tires should be done at least thirty (30) minutes before the opening of the false grid.

3.2.1 Use of rain tires The use of rain tires is only valid for the complete set of tires,asetofmixedtires(rainandslick)isnotautho-rized.

Each driver is free and responsible for choosing his set of tires. The sport management reserves the right to im-pose rain tires because of weather conditions, however if such a decision is taken the teams will be informed at least 45 minutes before the session.

Change of tires are not permitted on the false grid. The drivers that wishes to change tires will have to do so before coming to the false grid or in the pits.

At the start of a race, the driver that will have change is tires in the pits, will start from the pit lane behind the pack.

3.3 - SPARE PARTS AND LUBRICANTS

All original spare parts must to be acquired from an au-thorized NISSAN dealer.

All competition spare parts must to be acquired from JD PROMOTION ET COMPÉTITION INC.

The authorized lubricants TOTAL must be acquired from JD PROMOTION ET COMPÉTITION INC.

It is mandatory for competitors to acquire tires from TOUCHETTE PNEUS MÉCANIQUE.

A staff person from JD PROMOTION ET COMPÉTITION INC. et TOUCHETTE PNEUS MÉCANIQUE will be pres-entatthetracks(raceweekends).

The use of spare parts not originating from NISSAN will be consider as a technical infringement.

3.4 - TRANSPONDER

An AMB type transponder, model Trans X260 or the equivalent should equip every racing car. The number of the transponder as to be given to scrutineering at every event.

The transponder should be installed in the front of the car without exceeding the radiator support.

The driver is responsible for the installation and proper operation of the transponder. No time will be shown if the transponder is not properly working during qualifying sessions.

3.5 - CAMERAS

Cars may be equipped with severals onboard cameras. If a car is equipped with two cameras, they must be posi-tioned one forward and one backward. The images will beavailabletoofficialsthroughoutthedurationoftheevent to be able to view on request, following a claim or not.Officialswillusetheseimagestoanalyzethetrackactions and if appropriate, treat various incidents on the track. Refusal to provide these images will be consid-ered a violation of this regulation.

3.6 - COMPETITION NUMBER NISSAN MICRA CUP will assign to each driver a race competition number for the current year.

No changes will be authorize.

The assignment of numbers is left to the discretion of the NISSAN MICRA CUP.

Aspecificnumbercanbeaskedbyacompetitorinwri-ting (email) except for thenumberone (1) that isas-signed to the discretion of NISSAN MICRA CUP.

NISSAN MICRA CUP shall not be bound by the request made by the competitor.

Only competition numbers respecting the 2017 iden-tification plan will be allowed. They will have to beinstalledastheattachedidentificationplan.

The presence of competition numbers is mandatory at all times, including during collective testing.

Any competitor who does not comply with this article on the competition numbers will be denied the access to thequalifyingsessionsandtherace,andmaybesubjecttoafinancialpenalty.

The only authorized font is the one specified by theNISSAN MICRA CUP.

3.7 - DRIVERS NAME

Thenamesof thedrivermustbeaffixedon thebody.Basedontheidentificationplanannexedtothetechni-cal regulations.

Strict compliance with this section is mandatory for the duration of an event, but also in collective testing by NISSAN MICRA CUP or private testing preceding the event.

4.1 - PUBLICITY ON THE CARS

Cars must constantly bear identifications and stickers specified in the technical regulation appendix. They will be placed in the spaces provided based on the identification plan.

Under no circumstances, identification of vehicles de-finedbyNISSANMICRACUPcanbechanged.

NISSAN MICRA CUP, will provide a set of stickers at the beginning of the season. Then, the production of extra or damaged stickers will be the responsibility of the com-petitor. The only authorized font is the one supplied by the NISSAN MICRA CUP.

The drivers will be able to affix other ads on other areas than those reserved for NISSAN MICRA CUP.

NISSAN MICRA CUP reserves the right to add other partners to the list in appendix.

4.2 - PUBLICITY ON THE DRIVER’S SUIT When buying a car, a driver’s suit is supplied by NIS-SAN MICRA CUP, that is to say, the competitor must weartheofficialNISSANMICRACUPdriver’ssuit,frompre-season testing. This suit will comply with FIA or SFI standards.

NISSAN MICRA CUP could allow a driver to participate in a race without the provided suit. A driver involved in a race and that does not have a suit that was supplied by NISSAN MICRA CUP shall necessarily affix all official patches on his suit at the proper locations specified in the technical regulation appendix.This suit shall be red and comply with FIA or SFI standards.

Failure to do so could result in sanctions and to the ex-clusion of the event.

Thedriverswillhavetheopportunitytoaffixbadgesorother embroidery provided they do not overlap those de-finedbytheNISSANMICRACUP.

During the podium ceremonies, the driver agrees to bear alltheidentificationsthatwillbehandedtohimbyNIS-SAN MICRA CUP.

4.3 - EXPLOITATION RIGHTS

NISSAN MICRA CUP and partners and sponsors of the NISSAN MICRA CUP reserves the right to exploit for advertising, promotional or commercial the names and sports results of the competitors and drivers in this dis-cipline, and any picture / voice and image, without their permission and without paying particular rights or fees.

All drivers and competitors by registering therefore un-dertake to authorize the organizing committee to use freely all information and images related to their partici-pation in an event of the series, and to assign this right to third parties without limit in time or of any kind.

ARTICLE 5 - EVENT PROCEDURES

5.1 - DEFINITIONS •Event:aneventhasadministrative(registration) andtechnicalchecks,freepractice(optional), qualifying sessions and one or more races.

•Freepractice:Optionaltestsessionincorporated in an event (inevitably place after the sporting and technicalchecks).

•Privatetesting:Trackdaysprecedingallthe administrative and technical checks. Private testing are not part of the event.

•Collectivetests:practicesessionsorganizedbythe NISSAN MICRA CUP.

5.2 - VERIFICATIONS

5.2.1 General Onlydriverswhoreceivedtheirregistrationconfirmationwillbeabletopresentoneselftoverification.Thisconfir-mation will be sent by email only.

Only drivers and cars that meet the administrative and technical checks will be allowed to participate in quali-fying.

Anydelayinpresentingoneselftotheverifications(ad-ministrative and / or technical)will be punished by afinancialpenaltyimposedbytheseriessteward.

5.2.2Administrativeverifications To participate in an event, the driver should have sent hisregistrationform(s)toJDPromotionetCompétitionInc. accompanied with a check, payable to and the amount are described in section 2.5 of this regulation.

•Eachdriver(ordesignee)shouldpresenthimself at the hours and accreditation places provided on the schedules communicated by NISSAN MICRA CUP before each event, with the following documents: License, driver’s and car’s logbooks, list of crew.

No competitor or driver may participate in a qualifying session or a race without having previously met all the requirements of administrative checks.

5.2.3 Initial scrutineering Car :

•Initialscrutineeringofthecarwillbemadeinthe technical inspection paddock area or at the location allocated to the team in the paddock.

•Acarthatdidnotshowupatthepreliminary scrutineering will not be permitted in taking part to the event.

•Thepresentationofthecartothepreliminary scrutineering will be deemed an implicit statement of compliance by the competitor.

•Thecompetitorshallberesponsibleforthe compliance of the spare parts installed on his car; he will have to ensure their technical compliance before use.

•Initialscrutineeringofthecarmaybeconducted outside the presence of the competitor and the driver.

Repairs :

•Anyrepairstothechassismustbethesubjectofa written statement from the competitor to the NISSANMICRACUPofficials.Itwillbeindicated in the vehicle log book.

•Anycarwhich,afterbeingapprovedbythe technicalinspector,isdismantledormodifiedina way that might affect its safety or call into question its eligibility, or which is involved in an accident with similar consequences, must be reintroduced to the technical scrutineering for approval.

Seals :

•Theengineandgearboxaresealedbytheseries, the presence of these seals is mandatory at all time.(seetechnicalregulations).

•Additionalelementscanbesealedatanytimeof an event. These seals must remain intact until the approval of the NISSAN MICRA CUP technical inspector to take them off.

•Theconditionofthesealsisthecompetitor’s responsibility; the absence or deterioration will lead to a request for disciplinary action with ASQ or CASC, notwithstanding the decision of the stewards. The penalty can go up to the exclusion of the NISSAN MICRA CUP for two years.

•Thepresenceofsealsisonlyapresumptionof conformity. Under no circumstances can they guarantee the accuracy of the vehicle. In case of non-compliance found, the presence of seals cannot be used as a defense.

Any violation of this rule may result in the exclusion of the driver and / or competitor from NISSAN MICRA CUP Series.

Driver :

When going to scrutineering, the driver should have with him is driver’s suit: suit, underwear that covers the entire body, his socks, his hood, his helmet, and his HANS’s device or authorized equivalent. The use of these equip-ment’s is mandatory for practices, qualifying and races.

5.3 - TECHNICAL INSPECTION ON ARRIVAL

5.3.1 General principles :

Any cars involved in an accident can be, as asked by the race director or series steward, stopped and inspected.

The technical inspectors can, with the written approval of the race director or the series steward, initiate any of the following:

•Verifycomplianceofavehicleorofacompetitorat any time during the event.

•Requirethatthevehiclebedismantledbythe competitor to ensure that the admission requirements, compliance and security are fully respected.

•Requirethatacompetitorprovidessampleorpiece they deem necessary.

After each qualifying session and after each race, the carsdesignatedbyseriesofficialswillbecontrolledatall points of compliance may deem relevant. At any time and at their sole discretion, they may increase the num-berofcarsdesignatedforthemtobesubjecttocompli-ance checks.

Any competitor who refuses to submit to technical inspection will be excluded from the event and the NIS-SAN MICRA CUP.

Technicalinspectionswillbecarriedoutafterthefinishin the presence of the competitor or his representative. In the absence of the competitor or his representative at a duly advertised technical inspection, any claim con-cerning this inspection will be inadmissible.

Furthermore, if the steward deems it necessary, the col-laboration of two mechanics designated by the competi-tor or his representative may be required for disassembly.

The driver and / or the competitor will be held account-able for the compliance of the spare parts mounted on his car; he will have to ensure their technical compli-ance before use.

The cost of dismantling and reassembly are entirely the responsibility of the competitor.

Disassemblyprovidedbythecompetitorisnotsubjecttoa time limit, but a disassembly which would take time considered unreasonable by the stewards would be con-sidered a refusal to submit to technical inspection and will be punished as such.

If a car is found not to conform to the technical regula-tions, the lack of performance gain will never be regar- ded as a valid part of defense.

A driver and / or a competitor excluded once for breach of technical regulationswillbefined in theamountof$ 1,500.

A driver and / or a competitor excluded a second time for violation of technical regulation is at least excluded from theclassificationof theNISSANMICRACUP forthe current year.

5.3.2 Presence allowed

Technical inspections at the end of the events can be made in the presence:

•NISSANMICRACUPrepresentative. •ASQofficials. •Competitors and drivers. •Incaseofdisassembly,two mechanics maximum, appointed by the competitor.

In the absence of the competitor or his representative at a duly advertised technical inspection, any claim con-cerning this inspection will be inadmissible.

5.3.3 Parts sampling

•Withtheagreementofthesteward,technical inspectors should collect and retain one or more parts of the car to control them after qualifying sessions or races. In this perspective, they may also identify any car part. In this case, the competitor can only replace the item after authorization of the technical inspectors that retain the ability to control the item.

•Thetechnicalcontrolcanbedonebycomparing the controlled parts and the same original new parts.

•Noclaimcanbemadeastotheoriginoftheparts removed.

•Theremovedparts,declarednon-compliant,will be retained by the organizing committee and will not be replaced by NISSAN MICRA CUP.

•Theremovedparts,declaredcompliant,willbe rendered, or could be replaced with new parts identical by NISSAN MICRA CUP.

5.4 - QUALIFICATION

5.4.1 False grid

It is mandatory to be on to the false grid 20 minutes before the time limit.

5.4.2 Qualifying sessions

Running of qualifying sessions.

The qualifying sessions are held as follows:

•Two(2)qualificationswillstandina30 minutes session for the composition of the starting grid of races. The signal from the mid-session will separatethetwoqualifications.

•Forteamswithtwodrivers(2),eachdrivermust qualify for its race. These teams must notify the race management of the names of its drivers 30 minutes before the start of the qualifying session.

•Thebesttimeofthefirsthalfofthequalifying session obtain by each driver will be publish on theofficialboard,andwilldeterminethestarting gridforraceone(1).

•Thebesttimeofthesecondhalfofthequalifying session obtain by each driver will be publish on theofficialboard,andwilldeterminethestarting gridforracetwo(2).

• In case of force majeure or a qualifying session which would be shortened, the second best time of the qualifying session, will determine the starting grid for the race two (2).

•Anytiewillbeseparatedbythe2ndbesttimeof each qualifying session and so on.

Refueling is prohibited during the duration of the ses-sion.

NISSAN MICRA CUP reserves the right, for any excep-tional reasons to change the qualifying sessions format.

Unqualified competitors :

As long as the maximum number of cars allowed to take the start of a race on a given track is not exceeded, dri-verswhocouldnotqualifiyfortheracemaybeallowedto sit on the starting grid at the discretion of the steward. Drivers, and additional cars cannot be allowed on the grid unless the following conditions are met:

a)Neitherdriversnorqualifiedcarswillbeadverselyaffected if additional drivers and cars are allowed on the starting grid.

b)Additionaldriversmusthavecompleteknowledgeofthe race track and general safety instructions.

c)Additionalcarswillalwaysbeplacedinthelastposition at the back of the grid. If several competitors have no qualifying time, free will is given to the steward to determine the order in which they will be placed in the grid.

5.5 - DRIVERS MEETING Drivers meetings will take place in each event. The place and time of the meetings will be communicated prior to the event.

A driver or a team representative must necessarily at-tend all the meetings. It is strongly recommended that all drivers of a crew and at least one representative from each team are present.

The steward will penalize any absence or late arrival to the meetings with a fine of 50.00 for late show and 100.00 for no show.

NISSAN MICRA CUP can also organize occasional meet-ingsthatwillalsobemandatoryandsubjecttothesamepenalties.

5.6 - RACE 5.6.1 Two races event The NISSAN MICRA CUP events, will be two 30 minutes races.

It is the responsibility of the race director to make sure the time schedule is followed and the NISSAN MICRA CUP must submit to it. In the event that a race would be shortened because of lack of time, the drivers will be notified as soon as possible before or during the race. The shortened race will be considered complete and ran-kings points will be awarded in full.

5.6.2 Starting procedures Principle: 2017 NISSAN MICRA CUP races will be a rolling start.

One pace lap will take place behind the safety car unless otherwise indicated.

Intervention on the false grid:

•Interventionsonfalsegridarelimitedtosecurity interventions(adjustmentofsafetyharness,wheels torquecheck,fasteningbodyparts).

•No other settings or mechanical intervention are allowed.

5.7 - PARC FERMÉ Atthepresentationofthecheckeredflagofalltrackses-sions some cars could be placed under the “parc fermé”. Officials then communicate the number of designatedcars to be conducted at the NISSAN MICRA CUP techni-cal inspection.

As long as the parc fermé is operational, the rules of parcferméapplyintheareabetweenthefinishlineandthe entrance to the parc fermé.

The cars placed in the technical inspection area are un-der parc fermé rules.

The rules of parc fermé take effect at the end of the qualifying sessions and races as soon as the checkered flagispresentedatthefinishline.Atthistime,onthepit lane, if a car has issues that are being repair, any intervention on the car should be stopped immediately and it is up to the driver to comply with the instructions oftheofficialstodrivehiscardirectlyintheparcfermé.

All cars placed in “parc fermé” must go directly to the parc fermé without stopping, without receiving any object whatsoever and without any assistance (except that of officials, if necessary), and must remain avail-able to the stewards and scrutineers.

In the parc fermé, drivers must park their vehicle the correctwayandfollowtheinstructionsoftheofficials.

OnlyofficialsoftheNISSANMICRACUPhavetherightto be inside the parc fermé.

Weigh procedure :

A car that, after weighing, would be lighter than the specifiedminimumweight to the technical regulationswillbeimmediatelyweighedasecondtime.Theofficialweight recorded shall be the higher of the two.

End of parc fermé :

•Forvehiclessubjecttoconformitycheckstheend of the parc fermé will be by decision of the technical inspectors of the NISSAN MICRA CUP.

5.8 - PODIUM CEREMONY The drivers finishing first, second and third positionsoverall, as well as the rookie class, must participate in the awards ceremony on the podium and immediately make themselves available for media needs.

5.9 - DRUGS AND ALCOHOL USAGE

Alcoholic beverage consumption by any participant is expressly prohibited until all competitions are concluded for the day.

Theuseofanynarcoticorillegalsubstanceasdefinedinthe law, or misuse of legal substances of any participant before or during a competition, is expressly prohibited.

ARTICLE 6 - PENALITIES

6.1 - GENERAL

All infringement :

•NISSANMICRACUPgeneralrules.

•NISSANMICRACUPtechnicalregulations.

•NISSANMICRACUPannexes,technicaland sporting bulletins.

•Inthesupplementaryregulationsoftheevent concerned.

•ASQsportingcode.

•Racedirector’sinstructions.

•Seriessteward’sinstructions.

Will be submit to the series steward. Particular attention will be given to the behavior on the track. When overtaking or passing attempt, it is up to all drivers to try to avoid contact between the cars. A breach of this rule will be considered an offense.

In case of infringement, unsportsmanlike conduct or fai-luretocomplyflagsorinstructionsgivenbytheofficials,the steward may impose on any driver involved in an incident the following penalties:

•Adropofpositionintherankingoftheracein question.

•Adropofpositiononthestartinggridforalater race held by the driver.

•Amandatorydrivethruinpitlane.

•Amandatorystopandgoinpitlane.

•Anexclusion

•Afinancialpenalty(fine).

6.2 - EXCLUSIONS If a driver is excluded from a session or event, for spor-ting or technical reasons, he cannot claim any allocation of points or any endowment or for any prizes for the ses-sion or for the concerned event.

In addition, depending on the seriousness of the miscon-duct, enrollment in the following events may be refused in accordance with Article 2.4.

The exclusion of a driver or a competitor may be grounds for refusal of coming entry in NISSAN MICRA CUP Series for a maximum period of 2 years.

6.3 - DISCIPLINARY SANCTIONS Any finding of an incident in the paddock and on the track:

•Proceedingsofprovocationsofallkinds.

•Verbalorotherthreats.

•Unsportingbehaviororinconsistentwiththespirit of the NISSAN MICRA CUP.

•Failuretomoralandsportingethics.

•Nuisancetothebestinterestsofmotorsport.

•MoralormaterialprejudicesufferedbyNISSAN MICRA CUP by a member of a team, driver or entourage.

May be subject to the following penalties:

•Warningandprobationperiodwhoselengthwillbe definedbyNISSANMICRACUP.

•Refusaltoregisteratthefollowingeventforthe competitor concerned by the actions of those around him or his team, in accordance with Article 3.14 of the FIA International Sporting Code.

•Exclusionfromtheongoingeventforthe competitor or driver concerned by the actions of his entourage or his team. If a driver is excluded from a session or event, he cannot claim any allocation of points or any bonus for the session or concerned event.

•Removalofbonusesfortheeventforthedriver directly or indirectly bound by the actions of his entourage or his team.

•Immediateexclusionoftheteamand/ordriver from NISSAN MICRA CUP championship for a period of up to 2 years.

NISSANMICRACUPofficialswillbedesignatedandau-thorized to note any infringement.

6.4 - FINANCIAL PENALTIES (FINES)

The registration form signed by the driver in the early season is a contract between the driver and NISSAN MICRA CUP. The driver is committed to respect all points ofthisregulation.Incaseofnon-compliance,financialpenalties may be imposed by NISSAN MICRA CUP.

ARTICLE 7 - STANDINGS

7.1 POINTS DISTRIBUTION Points are awarded at each event. All drivers who start-ed the race will be ranked.

7.1.1 Points distribution The 30 highest-ranked drivers will be awarded points for races counting for the 2017 NISSAN MICRA CUP according to the following scale:

•Thedriverhavingachievedthepolepositionfor each race will score 2 points.

•Thedriverhavingachievedthefastestlapduring each race will score 2 points.

All drivers who started the races will be listed in the standings.

Fullpointsandfinishbonuseswillonlybeallocatedifarace is stopped after 65% of the scheduled distance or time.

If a race has to be stopped by Race Control between the second lap and the achievement of 65% of the sched-uled distance or time, only 50% of points and bonuses will be awarded at arrival.

7.1.2 - General standing after each event

Will be obtained by adding the points awarded to the previous races and the application of Article 7.1.1

7.1.3 Team standing

A team ranking, using the competition number, will be obtained by adding the points in previous races and by the application of Article 7.1.1. An overall standings of team by competition number will be published after each event.

The final ranking of the 2017 NISSAN MICRA CUPwill be determined by adding all the results of events to which the contestant has participated.

The winner will be the driver with the maximum points.

The final ranking by team for the 2017 NISSANMICRA CUP will be determined by adding all the results of events to which the team has participated.

The winner will be the team with the maximum points.

7.2.1 Ex aequo

If multiple drivers or teams have the same number of points, NISSAN MICRA CUP organizers will ranked them based on:

•Thequalityoftheobtainedplaces(1stplace, then2ndplace,etc....).

•Thepriorityofthebestplaceobtained.

•Anyotherconsiderationtheydeemappropriate if the quality of the places obtained cannot separate them.

7.3 ROOKIE CATEGORY

A ranking points can be is established on the same prin-ciples as Articles 7.1 & 7.2.

Will be eligible for the rookie category, any driver not having a full year of car racing experience on asphalt. However, the organizing committee reserves the right to refuse an entry in the rookie category, based on his pre-vious results of the concerned competitor. Drivers that won’t be admit in the rookie category of the NISSAN MICRA CUP, will be ranked in the general standing.

The NISSAN MICRA CUP final ranking of the rookiecategory will be establish by adding all the points obtain following thefinal results of theNISSANMICRACUP2017 events.

NISSAN MICRA CUP 2017 rookie category winner will be the driver with the maximum points.

ARTICLE 8 - PRIZES AND AWARDS

TECHNICAL REGULATIONS

Anything that is not explicitly authorized in these re-gulations and in technical bulletins issued by NISSAN MICRA CUP IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

All of these documents will be submitted by email to each competitor registered for the 2017 NISSAN MICRA CUP.

All of these documents are also made available on the NISSAN MICRA CUP website: www.nissan.ca/micra-cup/en/

IMPORTANT: The competitor must ensure that all technical staff that may examine or inspect the team car has all necessary technical documents for exami-nation or inspection of the car in compliance of this regulation. Ignorance of a technical paper published by the NISSAN MICRA CUP during the season will not be accepted as a defense. The driver and competitor will be held responsible at all times to ensure the compli-ance of their car to the regulations. Only the measur-ing instruments for measuring size, weight, pressure or capacity used by the technical inspectors of the NIS-SAN MICRA CUP shall prevail. No dispute are allowed. These instruments may be available to competitors for their own measurements, or to calibrate their own measurement instruments, until the opening of the false grid for qualifying.

ARTICLE 1 - DEFINITIONS

1.4 - DATA ACQUISITION

Onboard data recording system. This system connects to a computer for the “recovery and analysis of the re-corded data only.

1.5 - NEW TIRES

Tiresthatneverbeenuseorhavelittleuse(definitionof“littleuse”asperthetechnicalinspectors)andthatwerenever recorded in the NISSAN MICRA CUP.

1.6 - USED TIRES

Tires previously used, but the wear condition still allows use in competition (assessing the degree of wear accru-ingtotechnicalinspectors),ortiresalreadyregisteredina previous event for the same car.

1.1 - TYPE OF VEHICLE

NISSAN Micra S 2015,2016 and 2017, marketed by JD Promotion et Compétition Inc., in compliance with the pre-sent technical regulation. Vehicles built from parts or collections of parts are not allowed.

1.2 – EVENT

An event shall consist of free practices, one or two quali-fyingsessions,andoneormorerace(s).Aneventbeginswith the start of preliminary technical inspections and endsatthefinishoftheprotestperiodfollowingthelastrace.

1.3 - MINIMUM COMPETITION WEIGHT

The minimum competition weight is the weight of the car, after its participation in qualifying or a race, inclu-ding the weight of the driver. This excludes any servi-cing,modificationoraddition.

ARTICLE 2 - REGULATIONS

No car may take part in an event before it has been inspectedandapproved (beforehand)by the technicalinspectors.

At any time during the event, technical inspectors can:

•Checkthecomplianceofacar. •Requirethatacar,oraspecificcomponentofthe car be dismantled by the competitor to ensure that the conditions of eligibility or conformity fully in compliance.

•Requirefromacompetitortoprovideanysample or any part or component or stored data they may deem necessary.

Confirmationoftechnicalcontrolscompliancewillbecarried out by series authorized technical inspectors.

2.1 - TECHNICAL REGULATION PRINCIPLES

The parts constituting the NISSAN MICRA CUP are di-vided into two classes.

CLASS « A »: No changes are allowed. The parts in this class must remain in their original position and perform the functions for which they were intended. These parts arefactoryoriginalfromNISSAN.Modifiedornon-origi-nal parts are prohibited.

(In case of a broken seal or replacement of a seal ele-ment, it will be the responsibility of the competitor tonotifytheNISSANMICRACUPofficialstogettheproperprocedureforreseal).

Fasteners: All fasteners are free, provided they meet the following criteria:

- The original diameter. - The original thread path. - The original material (example: a steel bolt can only be replaced by a steel bolt to the exclusion of any othermaterial). - The original minimum mechanical properties should be maintained (example: a bolt quality 8.8 may be replaced by a quality of bolt 10.8, but the opposite isnotallowed)

2.2 - CONTINUED COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATION

The cars of the NISSAN MICRA CUP must fully comply with these regulations for the entire duration of an event. The driver, his entrant and the team are responsible for the ongoing technical compliance of the car.

2.3 - REPAIRS

Any work on the car must be carried out according to themethodsdefinedbythevarioustechnicaldocumentsissued by NISSAN and in compliance with these regula-tions,inordertomaintaintheconfigurationoftheorigi-nal car. Any spare part mounted must meet the criteria related to the categories mentioned above that contains the replaced part. The class “A” parts must be genuine NISSAN and must be in the parts catalog for NISSAN MICRA.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1) The driver, the entrant and the team, are held ac-countable for the ongoing compliance of the car and the mounted and used spare parts and ensure technical compliance before use.

2)Anyoriginalreplacementpartthatdoesnotmeetthesamestandardasthepartitreplaceswithoutmodifica-tion shall in NO CIRCUMSTANCES be used and must be exchanged with the NISSAN dealer after informing the technical inspector of the NISSAN MICRA CUP.

3)During an event, any car which, after being approved by the technical inspectors has been repaired or modi-fied in such a way that it might affect its safety or call into question its compliance, or would have been in-volved in an accident with similar consequences must be resubmitted to the technical inspectors of the NIS-SAN MICRA CUP by the competitor for a new approval.

2.4 – LOG BOOK

Technical Inspectors in charge of the NISSAN MICRA CUP issue a log book at the time of initial inspection of the vehicle. This log book remains with the technical inspectors for the NISSAN MICRA CUP. If necessary, it may be given to the competitor on request, but must be promptly returned to the technical inspectors.

ARTICLE 3 - BODY

It is allowed to paint the body parts on the inner and outer surfaces with the exception of the radiator grill, provided they respect the contracts with the partners of the 2017NISSANMICRACUP and the identificationplanasspecifiedinthesportingregulations.

3.1 - INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR OF WELDED PARTS ON THE BODY

In all circumstances, the operations of replacement or repair of body parts must be carried out according to the methods defined by NISSAN and as described in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 repair manual of the NISSAN MICRA “road” version. Any car that would present traces of reinforcement in the connecting areas of welded parts will be considered non-compliant with the regulations of the NISSAN MICRA CUP. The use of duct or similar tape to repairbodyparts issubject to theapprovalofthe technical inspectors. The duct tape can be permitted for the repair of the body only when the time between sessions does not allow a complete repair. The attach-ment of body parts together with duct or similar tape is subjecttotheapprovalofthetechnicalinspectorsoftheNISSAN MICRA CUP.

The use of such tape for a purpose other than tempo-rary repair of a body part as specified above is prohi-bited.

3.2 - WINDOWS

All windows must be present at all times.

The windows cannot be painted.

The front driver window must be completely lowered

The front passenger window must be completely low-ered or completely raised.

The rear side windows must be fully raised.

Windshield: a windshield with too many impacts or whose inner glass sheet is broken must be replaced.

ARTICLE 4 - WEIGHT

4.1 - COMPETITION WEIGHT

The minimum competition weight is 2,410 pounds. Thisweightisasdefinedinsection1.3.

4.2 - BALLAST

Below this weight of 2,410 pounds, it is mandatory to add (one or more) ballast, and that ballast must be secured by at least by two (2) of bolts. The ballast will be located on the floor behind the driver’s seat. The presence of the ballast is the competitor’s responsibi-lity.

4.3 - ADDITIONS AFTER THE RACE AND QUALIFYING

After a qualifying and/or a race, the addition of any liquid or other material whatsoever is prohibited until the end of the protest period following the qualifying ses-sions or races.

4.4 - WEIGHING

In addition to the competitor or his representative, only the technical inspectors and officials may enter the weighting area. No intervention of any kind is allowed in this area unless it has been specifically permitted by the officials.

ARTICLE 5 - ENGINE

5.1 - AUTHORIZED ENGINE

Only the original engine for the NISSAN MICRA is al-lowed. In case of replacement, only a new engine or used engine with tracable proof of the same model and type will be allowed. It must come from a NISSAN deal-er and be sealed by NISSAN MICRA CUP the technical inspectors before being installed.

5.2 - TECHNICAL TESTING

In case of the absence of one or more seals:

•Technicalcontrols:theconsistentdelivery instructions, which may include replacement of the engine, will be provided by the NISSAN MICRA CUP technical inspectors to the competitor and will be mandatory

The costs of becoming compliant back to conformity are then the responsibility of the competitor.

Duringtheevent(qualifyingandrace): theabsenceofseal(s)willbeconsideredatechnicalnon-compliance.

5.3 - EXHAUST

Mandatory use of the original exhaust system for the NISSAN MICRA CUP is required. The catalytic converter should be in place and in working order, without change and free of defects.

ARTICLE 6 - FUEL LINES AND TANK

Fuel lines and the fuel tank are original equipment for the NISSAN MICRA as included in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 spare parts catalog.

Any storage of fuel on board the car at a lower tem-perature of more than 10 ° C of the room temperature is prohibited.

Theuseofaspecificdevice,whetherornotonboardthecar, to reduce the fuel temperature below the ambient temperature is forbidden.

Refueling

•Refuelingisprohibitedduringqualifyingortherace. •Anyrefuelingonthefalsegridorthestartinggrid is prohibited.

ARTICLE 7 - LUBRICATION, ENGINE COOLINGAND BRAKE FLUID

Engine lubricant:

The only authorized motor oil is the Total Quartz 9000 Energy 0 W 30.

Any oil additive is strictly forbidden.

Ethylene glycol type antifreeze is prohibited. Only water and a type of anti overheat additive are authorized.

Theonlyauthorizedbrakefluidisthe800 Total Racing 600 DOT 4.

The only lubricant for the gear box allowed is the Total Trans Gear 9 FE.

ARTICLE 8 - TRANSMISSION

NB: On delivery, the gearbox contains original oil. It willbepossibletouseamoreefficientreplacementoil.The only one that will be allowed is the TOTAL TRANS GEAR 9 FE.

Maintenance and repairs will be made according to the methodsdefinedbyNISSANintherepairmanualNIS-SAN MICRA 2015, 2016 and 2017 edition.

Reverse should be in working order on the vehicle. The transmission ratio must remain original.

ARTICLE 9 - SUSPENSION AND STEERING

AnymodificationsotherthanthosemadebyMIA(Mo-torsport In Action) before the delivery of the car arestrictly prohibited.

The use of the original OMP steering wheel is manda-tory.

9.1 - WHEEL ALIGNMENT

The camber and the toe are free however the caster cannot be modified. Any modification to components are prohibited.

No other parts than those delivered with the vehicle can be added with the exception of adjustment shims for the rear.

ARTICLE 10 - BRAKES

Front brake pads must be acquired from JD Promotion et Compétition Inc.

ARTICLE 11 - WHEELS AND TIRES

Mandatory use of the original wheels, as delivered, and as replacement parts for the NISSAN MICRA CUP.

ARTICLE 12 - COCKPIT

The interior door panels must be those originally sup-plied by the NISSAN MICRA CUP.

Thefrontleftfloorandpedalsetmustbethoseoriginallysupplied by NISSAN MICRA CUP.

The camera supports, cameras or any other accessory must be installed safely and pass technical inspection. In the event that these accessories do not pass techni-cal inspection, they must be removed BEFORE taking the track.

ARTICLE 13 - SAFETY EQUIPMENT

13.1 - FIRE EXTINGUISHER

All cars must be equipped with an extinguisher.

The extinguisher’s condition is the driver’s and team responsibility and must be in good working order.

The following information must be clearly marked on each extinguisher:

•Capacity. •Typeofextinguishingagent. •Weightorvolumeoftheextinguishingagent. •Verificationdateoftheextinguisher,whichshould not be more than two yearsafterthefillingorafter thedateofthelastverification.

A FIRE EXTINGUISHER WHICH THE ABOVE INFOR-MATION IS NOT READABLE OR IS MISSING, IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO BE USE.

Thefireextinguishermustbeattachedtotheintendedoriginal location.

Only the original fasteners are to be used.

The driver seated normally with his safety belts fastened and the steering wheel in place, must be able to manu-allytriggerthefireextinguisher.

13.2 - ELECTRICAL KILL SWITCH

Theuseofthemastercircuitbreakeroriginallyfittedordelivered as a spare part is mandatory. Its operation will be checked during the preliminary inspection. The elec-trical kill switch must immediately cut all electrical cir-cuits (battery, alternator, lights, ignition, electrical con-trols,etc....)andmustalsostoptheengine.ThecontrolMUST BE located on the dashboard, on the air outlet of thedriver’sside.Itwillbeandclearlyidentifiedwithasticker that will be provided by the series. The working condition of the electrical kill switch is the responsibility of the driver.

13.3 - MIRRORS

It is mandatory to start each session with two original exterior mirrors. The addition of an inside oversized mir-ror will be allowed.

13.4 - DRIVER SEAT BELTS

NISSAN MICRA CUP cars are delivered with seat belts complying with FIA standards and the use of those belts is mandatory. However use of black larger belts is autho-rized as long as they comply with FIA standards.

The condition of the seat belts is the driver’s responsibi-lity.

Use requirements

Thefive(5)pointharnessmustbeusedinitsapprovedconfiguration without anymodifications or removal ofparts, and in accordance with the manufacturer’s in-structions. The efficiency and lifetime of safety beltsare directly related to how they are installed, used and maintained. Belts must be replaced after every severe collision, and also if they are cut, frayed, or in case of weakening of the straps by the action of sunlight or chemicals. The belts must also be replaced if metal parts or buckles are bent or rusted. Any harness which does not function perfectly must be replaced.

13.5 - SEAT AND SEAT SUPPORTS

The condition of the seat and seat supports is the re-sponsibility of the driver.

NISSAN MICRA CUP are supplied with a standard driv-er’s seat that must complies with FIA standards and the use of this seat is mandatory.

Points of attachment to the body

Seat mounting points must be those originally planned as provided by the manufacturer. However the seat may be adjusted in themounting plates providedwith thecar.

13.6 - SAFETY LATCHES (HOOD)

The use of the hood pins as supplied by MIA is man-datory. Blocking these fasteners or interfering with the opening of the hood by any means whatsoever is PRO-HIBITED. For example, plastic cable ties.

13.7 - WINDSHIELD

Only the original windshield or one listed in the spare parts catalog are allowed. A spare windshield must meet these same criteria. The windshield must be attached to the vehicle’s structure as original. A windshield with a deterioration of the inner sheet will not be authorized to enter the track. Technical Inspectors may request the replacement of the windshield if the outer sheet has too many cracks or impacts or is severely damage, even if the inner leaf of the windshield is intact.

13.8 - DRIVER SIDE WINDOW NET

The use of the supplied original side window net is man-datory.

13.9 - TOW HOOKS

The front and rear factory tow hooks must be in per-fect condition and clearly marked on the shield, either painted or marked with a yellow or orange-red arrow.

13.10 - SIGNALS - LIGHTS - HEADLIGHTS

All rear lights must be in working order at all times.

Headlights must be in working order.

All additional equipment is prohibited.

13.11 – DRIVER’S EQUIPMENT

Suit : The use of a FIA or SFI standards suit is manda-tory minimum 2 layers

Helmet : The use of a helmet that is FIA approved or SNELL 2005 is mandatory.

An FIA or SFI-Approved Head and Neck Restraint Sys-tem is mandatory during all on-track sessions.

Fire protection : It is strongly recommended to use a full face helmet.

Underwear : FIA approved undergarment is required if the pilot’s suit is only two layers.

Gloves, shoes,balaclava hood and socks : The use of shoes, gloves and socks that are FIA or SFI approved is MANDATORY.

Failure to comply with these requirements will result in refusal of participation in free practice, qualifying or racing. Inspections may be made at all time.

ARTICLE 14 - ROLL CAGE

Only the approved and provided roll cage for the NIS-SAN MICRA CUP is allowed. No changes are permitted.

The cage should at all times be properly bolted to the body. An occasional tightening is highly recommended.

Protective padding:In places where the driver’s helmet could come into con-tactwiththesafetycage,flameretardantpaddingmustbe provided for protection.

ARTICLE 15 - FUEL

15.1 - FUEL

Only unleaded gasoline available on open sale on gas stations is authorized. 94 is the maximum octane per-mitted. Testing can be performed at any time.

No additives can be added to gasoline.

ARTICLE 16 - ELECTRONICS

16.1 - RADIO SYSTEM AND TELEMETRY

During all sessions trials and the race, all bidirectional telemetry systems and electrical equipment are prohib-ited.

Communication systems using 2-way portable radios are permitted, provided they are securely attached.

Embedded timing systems are allowed if they are matched to the data acquisition system.

* The same communication system between cars and race control will be used in 2017.

16.2 - DASHBOARD

The original dashboard must remain in place. It must be operational and provide the original functions.

16.3 - WIRING HARNESSES AND CABLES

The original electrical and wiring harnesses must not be changed. No wires or any other device should be added to the original sensors.

16.4 - ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU OR CALCULATOR) AND DATA ACQUISITION

The use of the original engine electronic control unit from NISSAN MICRA is mandatory.

The original engine electronic control unit must be equipped with the map version approved by NISSAN CANADA.

Any work on the engine electronic control unit is pro-hibited, including the ignition timing and the fuel injec-tion sequence.

NISSAN MICRA CUP technical inspectors have free ac-cess to information stored in the data acquisition system and can use the result for technical compliance checks.

Other data acquisition system

All other data acquisition systems are allowed provided they collect incoming information only. Only connections to the OBD2 plug will be allowed for these systems.

ARTICLE 17 - FINAL TEXT
