Industrial Tour

Department of Civil Engineering organised a 3 Days Industrial tour for 8th sem stu-

dents from 22nd to 24th march 2019

Department of Civil Engineering of ATMECE organized “ Gate Awareness “ program for final

and pre final year students. The activity is carried out professional executives from VANI

GATE, Bangalore

FDP on Drone Surveying on 26th to 28th March 2019

Faculty development program was organized on Total station surveying and Drone Survey technology for the period of 3

days where faculty individuals from different institutions got an opportunity to attend and enrich their knowledge on Total

station and Drone surveying. The Resource persons for the Total station and Drone surveying were Prof. Sanath Kumar,

Three days National level conference and Faculty Develop-

ment Programme in Science and Technology-26th - 28th

March-2019

Inaugural function was chaired by Sri Arun kumar L

Chairman-ATMECE. Occasion was graced by Prof.

K. S. Rangappa, former Vice-chancellor, Mysuru

University and present Indian science congress presi-

dent, invited as Chief Guest for the function and Dr.

Nandana Sabhapathi, Director of DFLR, invited as

Guest of honor for the Inauguration. Gathering of

around 400 people including HODs, Staffs, students

and delegates across the country was welcomed by

HOD Mr. Manuvijay. Delegates included facul-

ty ,students from Engineering, science and technology

backgrounds.

Principal Dr. L. Basavaraj conveyed the message of

chairman to the audience and stressed on importance

of conferences for students at present stage of their

life. CD containing the softcopy of proceeding was

released by the guests, Mr.Shivashankar K, Secretary-

ATMECE, Dr.Basavaj L, Principal-ATMECE,

Mr.Manuvijay, Department of Civil Engineering, AT-

MECE and Dr. K.J Suresha, Convener of the national

The Chief guest Dr. L Basavaraj, Principal AT-

MECE addressed the gathering saying that it is

important to keep the Technical Festival active by

organizing activities regularly. He also said that

the staff and students should utilize the platform

and promote scientific and educational activities.

Clock Tower

since it was built

to commemorate

the silver jubilee

of Nalvadi Krish-

naraja Wadiyar’s

reign in 1927.

Rising 75 feet,

the tower is a mix

of various archi-

tectural styles that have been ingeniously blended to

create this masterpiece. It is square in shape and is pre-

dominantly Indo-Saracenic in style, with eaves and

other details following Rajasthani style. The clock is 5

feet in diameter and is located a little below the top.

Above it is a domed canopy that rests on a consoled

base.

Inauguration of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) student chapter

IGBC Student Chapter was inaugurated for the first time in the Dept. of Civil Engineering, ATMECE

on 5th April 2019.

Mr. Ramesh S Kikkeri, Co Vice Chairman of IGBC inaugurated IGBC Student Chapter in the Civil

Department jointly with Dr. L Basavaraj, principal of ATMECE.

Industry Outreach Programme - A Practical Approach to Construction Technology was

held on 30th April 2019 at Civil Block Seminar Hall. Ms. Arshitha M.L, a student from

6th semester welcomed the chief guest Er Prakash S, MD, Paramur Group Construc-

tion, Mr. Manuvijay , HOD, Dept of CE,& Mr. Rudresh A N , Mr. Shashank P coordi-

nators of Industry Outreach Programme and staff members, Dept. of CE and 8th Se-

mester students were present in the event.

The Programme was followed by saraswathi – vandana by Shubhashree T.L a student

from 6th semester.

EVALUATION OF KSCST 42nd SERIES OF SPONSORED STUDENT PROJECT PRO-

GRAMME (SPP) PROJECTS AT NODAL CENTRES

Date: 10th May 2019, Friday

After the inauguration in auditorium, civil engineering projects were evaluated at civil engineering

department. About 24 teams constituting the students and the faculty members from the colleges

under the Mysore region had participated in the event
