BLUETOOTH TECHNOLOGY
Bluetooth is a wireless protocol that is used to communicate from one device to another in a small area usually less than 32 feet. It is a wireless, low- cost radio solution that enables small devices such as PDAs, cell phone, and palmtops to communicate between each other and with the Internet.
WHAT IS BLUETOOTH ?
Bluetooth is a technology that is intending to replace the cable(s) that connect electronic devices, such as mobile
phones, mobile PCs, and other portable devices. In this light, discuss the following:
Origin of Blue tooth technology Development of Bluetooth technology Blue tooth componentsFeatures of Bluetooth technology and its
challengesApplication of Bluetooth technology
ORIGEN OF BLUETOOTH TECHNOLOGY
In 1994, Ericsson Mobile Communications launched a feasibility study of low-costlow-consumption radio interface to be used between mobile telephones andtheir accessories. In February 1998, IBM, INTEL, Nokia and Toshiba joinedthe Swedish company and in May they created the SIG. It was widened bythe arrival of 3Com, Agere (Lucent Technologies),
Microsoft and Motoroladuring 2000 and does not cease increasing thus gathering actors who coverseveral fields of expertise such as cellular telephony, portable computers.
Bluetooth networking transmits data via low-power radio waves. It communicates on a frequency of 2.45 gigahertz (actually between 2.402 GHz and 2.480 GHz, to be exact).
