Celebrate 20 Years

of Extraordinary Theatre

Dear TMP audiences,

Over the past twenty years, The Merlin Players have pro-duced 51 plays and musicals in a variety of venues. For the past seven, we have called the Paradise Center for the Arts our home. One thread runs through these past seasons and that is our passion to strive to bring the finest theater to southern Minnesota. Hun-dreds of actors, musicians, set design/construction teams, costum-ers, light and sound designers, and prop masters, painters, ticket sellers and front of the house staff have worked thousands of hours to attain this goal of excellence. It has, indeed, been a labor of love for all of us. Last year Scene magazine named us the best theatre company in southern Minnesota. In 2009, our production of “Eleemosynary” was chosen “Best of Festival” at the Minneso-ta Community Theatres One-Act Play Festival and we traveled to the regional competition in Nebraska. In 2001, we earned second place at the same festival for “The Laramie Project.” On Saturday, May 16, 2015, The Merlin Players, past and present, will gather for a 20th Anniversary Gala Show featuring some of the best moments from our twenty years. Directed by Michael Lambert, you won’t want to miss this show. If you are a season ticket holder, you will receive $5.00 off the $20.00 gala ticket. The price of your ticket includes a reception afterwards. Don’t miss the laughter and the music on May 16. This is just another reason to purchase a Merlin season ticket. Remember, your season ticket is flexible and can be used for any of the shows. Get the best seats when you make your res-ervations one week before tickets go on sale to the public. Please consider becoming a benefactor member at whatever level you can afford. We so appreciate, and need, your extra support as our overhead expenses have increased for the second year in a row. The Merlin Players’ Board of Directors also invites you to audi-tion or become a volunteer. It is a wonderful way to meet new people and join the Merlin family. Check out our website at themerlinplayers.org.
