introduce our Ravens connectED Aeroclub and Airsport.in, brands of Raven Aerial

Technologies Pvt Ltd. In Aeroclub, we deliver the science behind aircraft,

spacecraft, missiles and helicopters through hands-on Practical classes. The

vision of the club is to develop and promote the spirit of Aeromodelling sport to

students, enabling them to have hands on feel of making aero models, flying it

and participating in State, National & International Aeromodelling competitions.

Our core belief lies in propagating the concept of ‘learning by doing’- Knowledge

by action.

Aeromodelling is a hands-on activity and an International sport based

on Aircraft Designing and flying. In connectED Aeroclub, Aeromodelling activity

is specially designed for School Students, which is conceptualized by Raven

Aerial Technologies. It’s a unique club available in the entire country which is

designed by Raven aerial Technologies. This club will provide a platform where

young students can mould their imagination into reality and feel the excitement

first hand.

About Aeroclub:

This Aeroclub is dedicated to learn the technology behind making of

aircrafts. It helps and encourages the participants to solve real time problem

involved in making of glider aircraft. Aircraft Designing: Model aircrafts are

flying or non-flying small sized replicas of existing or imaginary aircraft using a

variety of materials including paper, plastic, metal, synthetic resins, wood, foam

and fibreglass. The most commonly types are balsa wood, Coro sheet,

polystyrene and card stock.

Aeromodelling is one of the world’s finest hobby, a sport and the art of

making various types of aircraft models which can actually fly. Aeromodelling is

a wonderful form of self expression that gradually leads you to a successful

career as a Pilot, Aircraft Designer, Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Aero-Space

Engineer etc. It is both a Hobby and an International Sport. Model aviation’s power to excite the imagination and generate enthusiasm has made it a truly

international activity with many thousands of participants and hundreds of

ongoing activities worldwide.

Our Achievements

Airsport.in is the sister firm of Raven Aerial Technologies. Airsport.in the India’s

fastest growing company in the field of practical educational training and aerial

photography with most advanced technologies and experience in hand. We

majorly deal in aeromodelling workshop, aerial photography, RC flight training

and aero clubs.

Airsport.in has 60+ aeroclubs in various schools across South India.

Airsport.in supports aero professional body activities of AeSI, SAEINDIA

and IAAA as an organizing partner.

On 14th October 2017 Airsport.in launched 2,500 successful hobby

rockets out of 4,000 rockets made by 4,000 school students. This event

was conducted in 25 different schools across Chennai and Vellore. The

event was conducted to celebrate Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s 86th birthday.

The event was covered by various TV news channels and printed media.

On 24th Feb 2018, we have conducted a campaign “Support Aero and

Space Modelling” to create awareness for Aero and Space modelling

programs in association with IAAA and ISSE. In that campaign nearly

15000 students from 200 schools from six different regions (Chennai,

Sriperumbudur, Vellore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore and Thanjavur) have

participated and voted their support for Aero and Space modelling

activities.

Our services

On 1st July 2017, Airsport.in conducted an event named “Aerochamp” in

Government Higher Secondary School, Pudur, Ashok Nagar, Chennai to

create awareness for government school students on Aeromodelling. In



that event, we had given free training for 200 students and make them to

participate in Aerochamp’17 Competition.

INTRODUCTION TO

AEROMODELLING

Introduction and Paper Plane Basic introduction about Aeromodelling activity and its benefits by

building a paper plane model with different categories (Range and Endurance)

Propeller Powered Glider, Propeller Theory (Models which are designed to study the forces that are acting on

the planes)

Boomerang (These models are well known as primitive hunting tools in history,

which deals with the shape of an aircraft structure and flow around

it.) Catapult Glider

(These glider models are designed to study about the parts and the

controls used in an aircraft for its flight and to estimate the centre of gravity for the planes)

Aerial Technologies.

At the end of every year, a competition will be organized among the

Aeroclub students and winners will be awarded with a 'Certificate of Excellence'.

IAAA Congress

awards in IAAA Congress will lift IAAA Congress trophy. Student members stand a major benefit through

IAAA has different membership levels for student members, faculties, practicing engineers, executives,

institutions and corporate members. IAAA offers annual membership for UG students at a fee of Rs.1000. IAAA
