One and a half million Jewish children were murdered by the

Germans and their collaborators during the Holocaust.

• Ruth Moses age 6• Born 1935 in Germany• Her family was forced to live in a Ghetto in

Latvia• Ghetto residents were latter gassed in a

mobile gas chamber, shot or sent to labor camps

• Her Death is unknown

• Nissim Mordehay• Born January 8, 1932 in Bulgaria• Nine years old when Bulgaria allied itself with Germany• The Jews of Old Bulgaria were saved due to the

courageous defiance of the King of Bulgaria and his people.

• He lived in a country that was able to protect its Jewish citizens

• Saved

• Greti Skala • Born August 10,1935 in Czechoslovakia• She and her mother were liberated from

Bergan - Belsen• At age 9 died of typhus, shortly after being

sent free

Lost Children of the Holocaust• Victor Rona • Born December 26, 1928 in Rumania• Strong and healthy at age 15 years old he was

forced into a labor camps• From June 1944 till April 1945 he labored in 4

different labor camps in Germany

• Died after being set free at age 16 from an untreated bayonet wound received in the labor camp

Renowned Children of the Holocaust• Anne Frank• June 12, 1929 – Died age 15• Born Frankfurt, Germany moved from Germany to

the Netherlands to avoid Nazi• 2 years her family hid in hidden rooms in Amsterdam• Captured and sent to concentration camp Bergen-

Belsen• Died of typhus with her sister Margot• After the war her father found and published her

now famous diary

• Slama Miroslav• Born August 3, 1917 in Czechoslovakia• Death November 30, 2008• Prisoner in the Concentration Camp in Czech Republic

Professional ice hockey player for Czechoslovak the national team

Won a silver medal at the 1948 Winter Olympics• Defected to Switzerland in December 1948 during an ice

hockey tournament
