SEPTEMBER 11 MASS OF REMEMBRANCE

Geibel Catholic will celebrate a Mass of Remembrance on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

Parents and guardians are invited to join us in the Gymnasium at 9:30 AM. Our celebrant

will be Father Dan Carr.

FORMAL WEAR REQUIRED FOR MASS ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2018

HOMECOMING SHIRTS

Geibel Catholic Student Council has chosen the Wizard of Oz for the theme of his year's

Homecoming. Each grade will have their graduation year displayed on the back of a gray t-

shirt. The shirts are $15. They will be on sale during lunches on Monday and Tuesday only

(September 10 & 11). You must have your money to order the shirt.

SECOND ANNUAL CALENDAR PARTY

The second annual Calendar Party is Sunday, November 4, 2018. Table sponsors are invited

to a meeting in the Geibel Catholic cafeteria at 6 PM. on Thursday, September 13. Thank

you to Melinda Alvarez and Susan Motyki for chairing this fun event!

GEIBEL CATHOLIC IS IN NEED OF CHALLENGE PROGRAM SPONSORS

The Challenge Program’s mission is to build sustainable Business/Education partnerships

while introducing students to careers in their communities. These partnerships contribute

to workforce and economic development by motivating students to develop the sold work

habits required to succeed in school and in their future careers. The Challenge Program

motivates high school students through awards to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students in five

categories: Attendance, STEM, Community Service, Academic Improvement, and

Academic Excellence. Geibel Catholic was informed by The Challenge Program that we are

without business sponsorship at the moment. If you, or a business you know, are interested

in exploring the possibility of sponsoring our school, please contact Ms. Nickler.

OPEN HOUSE

Geibel Catholic will be hosting an Open House for prospective families on Friday,

September 14, at 9 AM. Please spread the word to any family you know who would like to

provide their children with an excellent, faith-based education.

SCRIP FUNDRAISING

SCRIP NEWS! We will have new hours for selling SCRIP for walk-ins! A volunteer will be

available on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9am-11am. Please note that we will not sell on days

that the students are not in school. We will begin Tuesday August 28. As always, you may

send orders to school with your student to be placed in the SCRIP box in the office. Do

remind them to stop in at the end of the day to pick up the orders! PLEASE REMEMBER NO

ORDERS ARE FILLED WITHOUT PAYMENT!

GEIBEL GALAXY YEARBOOK

The 2018 Geibel Galaxy is scheduled to arrive the week of September 17. Graduates of the

Class of 2018 who DID NOT pay for their book to be shipped from the Jostens publisher

can pick up their books at the school when they arrive. (We will let you know on here!)

Current students will receive their books at school. We will have a VERY LIMITED number

of books available for purchase. Please contact Mr. Procko by email at

sprocko@geibelcatholic.org or see him at school if you would like to buy one. Cost is $75.00.
