To raise awareness and to achieve measurable action on sustainability within the NHS

What we achieved in 2014

• Over 130 NHS Trusts took action on March 27th 2014

• Engaged with over 700 NHS professionals through Roadshows

• 90 NHS Trusts applied for the awards-• Demonstrating their activity

• 100,000 visitors to the national website• 5,000 unique visitors per month

What we achieved in 2014

• Prime Minister ‘s recognition for NHS Sustainability Day

• Support from SDU, PHE, DH, NHS England, NHS Property Services, IHEEM and hundreds of NHS staff.

How did we do it?

• Regional roadshows • Campaign no longer London-centric

• Sustainability day is now focus of extended activity

• Social media campaigns• #Dayforaction trending on Twitter

• Industry partners including PHS, Carillion, Quorn, ADSM to provide sponsorship and input of sustainability solutions

What is the plan for 2014-15 ?

Improving Social, Economic and Environmental Outcomes

• Extending the campaign into CCGs and HWBs

• 5 Regional Roadshows

• Increased social media campaign• Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin

• More award categories to reflect feedback from delegates
