• Unicef was born in the year 1946 by decision of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

• Its purpose was to help European children after the Second World War.

• Unicef’s vocation is work for children regardless of race, nationality or religion, and to make protection of their rights over any interest.

• It provides long-term humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers in developing countries.

• Greenpeace was born in 1971, in a very spontaneous way. A group of Canadian antinuclear activists who had fled to Canada to not take part in the Vietnam War, formed a small organization called “Do not Make a Wave Committee”

• Greenpeace’s goal is to "ensure the ability of the Earth to nurture life in all its diversity“.

• The International Committee of the Red Cross. is a private humanitarian institution founded in 1863 in Geneva, Switzerland. It protect the life and dignity of the victims of international and internal armed conflicts.

• The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies was founded in 1919.

• National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies: exist in nearly every country in the world. Each one works in its home country according to the principles of international humanitarian law and the statutes of the international Movement.

• It was born in Barcelona in 1988, to guarantee the universal right to quality education for every children, through international cooperation projects in Latin America and programs in Spain.

• Education Without Borders focuses its work on International Cooperation, Development Education and Awareness campaigns and reporting. The organization is part of the Coordinator of Non-Governmental Organizations for Development of Spain.
