BACKGROUND
NFJPIA-R3, in its celebration of the Yuletide Season, is launching the NFJPIA-R3 Christmas Photo Contest
2014. NFJPIA-R3 is looking for great pictures with unique qualities that will showcase creativity in
highlighting the true essence of Christmas. This, moreover, is a way for NFJPIA-R3 members and other
parties to witness how we conquer academic stress and pressure and still live up with the spirit of being
one and united remembering the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. Show them how you uniquely celebrate
Christmas with your fellow JPIAns! Show them how you enjoy this season through pictures of you and
your peers.
OBJECTIVES
1. To exalt, in every JPIAns heart, the joy and essence of being an Accountancy student in the festivity
and, at the same time, solemnity of the Christmas Season.
2. To showcase the members creativity through photography.
CONTEST RULES AND MECHANICS
1. NFJPIA-R3 Christmas Photo Contest 2014 is open to all bona fide members of NFJPIA R3 for the
federation year 2014-2015.
2. There shall be two divisions: a) R3 Christmas Groupie and b) R3 Christmas Selfie.
3. All NFJPIA-R3 members shall be allowed to send an entry for this competition. Multiple entries
featuring the same person or group shall not be allowed. For groupies, multiple entries having the
same four (4) members shall be automatically disqualified.
4. A selfie shall be composed of only one individual while a groupie shall be composed of five to eight
persons.
5. Both selfie and groupie shall highlight the Christmas Decorations of the Local Chapter.
6. There should only be one photo, the use of collage shall not be allowed.
7. Participants may use any application in capturing the Christmas Photo but the copy which shall be
submitted to the Council shall be in .jpg or .jpeg format.
8. The Christmas Photo shall be messaged in the NFJPIA Region 3 Page. The message shall contain the
photograph, name/s of the participant/s, and the Local Chapter. Those who lack details shall not form
part of the official entries.
9. Deadline of submission is on December 19, 2014 (Friday).

10. All valid entries shall be posted in the album #HappiestR3Christmas in the NFJPIA-R3s Official
Facebook Page on December 20, 2014.
11. Participants shall then share or repost their entry with the hashtags #HappiestR3Selfie or
HappiestR3Groupie and #NFJPIAR3. No hashtags shall constitute to no share.
12. The criteria for judging is as follows:
Uniqueness, Creativity and Artistry 40% Online Voting (Facebook Likes) 30% Online Shares 20% Overall Photo Quality 10% Total 100%
13. For Online Voting (FB Likes), the highest number of votes shall get 30% and shall be the basis of the
percentage of the other entries. The use of auto-liking is prohibited, such action shall constitute to
disqualification. The same computation shall apply to Online Shares.
Example:
Entry 1 1,000 likes 30% Highest number of votes Entry 2 950 likes 28.5% (950/1,000) * 30% Entry 3 50 likes 1.5% (50/1,000) * 30%
14. The Online Voting (FB Likes) and Online Shares are until 1:00 PM of December 24, 2014
(Wednesday) ONLY.
15. The top three highest pointers shall be declared as the 1st placer, 2nd placer and 3rd placer
respectively. The winning photo shall be announced and shown on December 24, 2014.
ENFORCEMENT OF THE IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. It shall be the primary duty of the Regional Secretary General to effectively enforce the provisions of
this Implementing Rules and Regulations. The Council also has the sole right to interpret the contents
of this Implementing Rules and Regulations and their decision shall be binding and irrevocable.
2. The Regional Adviser or his duly designated representative shall act as legal adviser to the Regional
Secretary General and the Council and shall render legal assistance as may be necessary in carrying
out the provisions of this Implementing Rules and Regulations.

AMENDMENTS OR REVISIONS
1. The Council shall be vested with the exclusive power to revise and amend the Implementing Rules
and Regulations.
2. Any amendments to or revisions to this Implementing Rules and Regulations may be proposed by any
member of any local chapter upon a written request of such member, stating the reasons thereto.
3. Any request for amendments and revisions as well as proposed amendments must initially be
reviewed by the Regional Secretary General then to be forwarded to the Regional Executive Officers
for discussion, editing and final approval and to be noted by the Regional Adviser.
4. The Regional Executive Officers shall have the right to debunk any proposed revisions and
amendments, submitted to them by the Regional Secretary General, which are deemed unnecessary.
The final decision on any inclusions and exclusions to this Implementing Rules and Regulations must
be determined by a majority vote of all Regional Executive Officers in which the Regional Secretary
General is included.
5. Amendments to particular provisions in this Implementing Rules and Regulations shall be allowed
provided that such amendments will be communicated to stakeholders at least two weeks before it
could take effect, or in extreme cases.
SEPARABILITY CLAUSE
If any clause, provision, paragraph or part of this Implementing Rules and Regulations shall be declared
unconstitutional or invalid, such judgment shall not affect, invalidate, or impair any other part hereof, but
shall be merely confined to the clause, provision, paragraph or part directly involved in the controversy
in which such judgment has been rendered.
REPEALING CLAUSE
Any rule and regulation or resolution or part/s thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this
Implementing Rules and Regulations are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
EFFECTIVITY
This Implementing Rules and Regulations shall take effect immediately after its presentation and
approval from the Assembly. Promulgated in Pampanga this 8th day of December, 2014.
