Why do we need this agreement?
It makes sure that everybody knows what has been agreed and the rules of how we will work together.
It also includes things like what the work is and who is in charge of making sure we keep to the law about things.
It provides information about when the work should be completed and about the payment.

What is the work?
The regional grant covers 5 main areas, based on the overall fora aims of ‘Ensuring the ‘grass roots’ voice of people with learning disabilities and their family carers is as strong, representative and effective as can be’:
1. Developing and strengthening the regional network
2. Communication 3. Linking with the
Forum of People with Learning Disabilities
4. Working together (families and self-advocates)
5. Monitoring

Alongside these broad areas of work each region will have an action plan, agreed by the Regional Host/co-ordinator and Inclusion North on behalf of the National Forum of People with Learning Disabilities. The action plan will set out 1-2 things that the regional host will do, and will be based on the regional review feedback and discussions between the host and Inclusion North.
This grant agreement
is for 18 months – starting from 1
st
October 2015 and ending on 31
st March
2017.The grant will be paid in 3 six monthly stages. The action plan will be reviewed by the

regional host and Inclusion North every six months, alongside the agreement.
If the regional host is not able to demonstrate that they meet the terms of the grant, or their ability to deliver the grant changes Inclusion North (on behalf of the National Forum of People with Learning Disabilities) will not release the money for the next six months.
Any additional work you are asked to deliver on top of this agreement will be on a voluntary or paid basis, following initial discussion with the National Forum of People with Learning Disabilities.

What have x agreed to do? Under the terms and conditions of the grant we will
ask each region to do the following:
1. Developing and strengthening the regional network
- Engage directly with people with learning disabilities in their region
- Develop and build links with self-advocacy groups and people with learning disabilities in the region
- Identify areas in the region that are not connected and seek to engage
- Understand the key groups/organisations that the network needs to be connected

- Develop a regional plan alongside people with learning disabilities in the region that reflects the National Forum priorities/regional priorities

We will ask you to give us a report on how you are spending the money every 6 months. We will ask for this report to be easy to understand.
When and how will the money be paid?
Payment for the work will be in 3 six monthly stages when the grant agreement has been signed. x will invoice Inclusion North (who are supporting the National Forum of People with Learning Disabilities) for their payment and this will be paid by BACS.

If you are having problems delivering the work you will be expected to talk to your link person, Lucy Virgo, or a member of Inclusion North as soon as possible. We will look at what we can do to help and support you.
