More inside!

Faith, commitment, hard work, and humbleness were some of
the topics San Diego Chargers running back Edwin Baker talked about at the 2012 Next Level Football Camp.
The 2012 Next Level Football Camp was a huge success.
Fifty-three athletes from 14 different schools were
represented. The camp was held at Eastern Michigan
University and the athletes were able to learn in an
atmosphere that was fun, safe and competitive. Coaches
pushed athletes to their limits to learn new techniques and
compete at a high level.
Another key point that was addressed at the camp was
academics. The National Colligate Scouting Association
spoke to the student-athletes about the importance of
academics and the recruiting process.
In all, each student-athlete was able to take a great
experience from this football camp.
"He's very intense". "He's got a very good mind-set in terms of how he prepares for everything, not just in the weight room. He has a certain amount of maturity and it shows. He's a worker." -MSU Coach Mike Dantonio

College Connection
The Edwin Baker Profile
A special thanks goes out to Saginaw Valley State
University running backs coach Andre Griffin. Coach
Griffin enters his fourth year at Saginaw Valley State
University. Coach Griffin was able see the talent that the
2012 Next Level Football Camp had to offer.
Charlie Adams of the NCSA spoke at our camp this year. He has 23 years an award winning sportscaster, interviewing over 2,000 athletes who aspired to, and reached their goal of playing college sports. In South Bend, Adams covered Notre Dame, Big Ten, and college sports of all levels for 16 years. He has also interviewed the likes of Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and Pat Summit. At the camp Charlie spoke to athletes and parents about 5 important things:
1. Recruiting Process Starts Freshman Year.
2. Coaches Don't "Discover" You! Make Yourself Known.
3. College Coaches Do Their Homework Online.
4. Be Realistic: Less Than 1% Get A D1 Full Ride!
5. Your Coach Cannot Get You A Scholarship!

NEXT LEVEL FOOTBALL CAMP 2012 MVP Congratulation to Cheyne Lacanaria. Chyene was named
the 2012 Next Level Football Camp Most Valuable
Player. Only standing 5’8 and 180 lbs. at quarterback,
Chyene tore up the competition. With his accurate
throws, competitive edge, and leadership, Cheyne stood
above all competitors at the camp. During the 2011-
2012-football season, Cheyne lead Brother Rice High
School to its 8th state title. Next Level wishes Cheyne
much success as he tries to repeat as a state champion.
Thank You to the 2012 Sponsors.
