During 2008 – the number of things
connected to Internet exceeded the number
of people on earth.
Over 12.5 billion devices were connected to
the Internet in 2012.
25 billion devices will be connected to the
Internet by 2015.
50 billion devices will be connected to the
Internet by 2020.
These things are not just smart phones and
tablets.
There will be 780 million wearables by
2019.
The Internet of Cows
Big Data and APIs are the two key
technologies that enable IoT.
50 billion devices by 2020 will be generating
zetabytes of traffic.
